I'm getting really strong feelings about the Blazers. NO pulled off nothing less than a miracle with the Plum-for-Nurk trade and the team is playing like a first round spoiler team!

Playing like they are, i much prefer a playoff series over a lottery pick!

Summer: move Leonard, Crabbe and add a veteran PF and we become a serious contender! Blake Griffin???

Griffin has a player option this summer. I bet he opts out. If the Clippers go one and out I bet there will be major changes.

I don't think you have to worry about it. There's no chance in hell of him coming here.

How much more fun is it for those who attend the games? Totally different atmosphere for the last few. Jealous I am not there.

I said it in the game thread: But it finally happened. It feels so good to be excited about this team again. It felt like sludge when watching the games before the
all star break. "Consistently inconsistent" was the saying I would use. Because it was true. Even Stotts said as much! It was hard to feel any forward momentum - we had no identity.

    Enter Nurk.

It all changed. This is soooo much fun. I'm yelling at my screen, pumping my fists.

And I just want to say it one more time, because I hate the Rockets this much.

    Houston: GET FUCKED

I don't like him, but I'd definitely take him. With his passing and Nurk's passing we'd have crazy good ball movement!
But there's no way we'd be able to afford him.

I don't have the patience or really the know-how, but it would be great to re-visit that trade thread and review the real-time responses. If I recall, there were some naysayers! Out them! Haha....

LOL if I recall, most people were really happy about the 1st round and knew we couldn't re-sign Plums - and most said that Nurk showed potential from his rookie year. If there were naysayers, they were sparse.

    .

We can move Crabbe but we can't move Turner. That's really my only defense. We need to clear cap space to sign Griffin (or another PF vet) so two of Leonard / Crabbe / Turner must go

The addition of BG would, if healthy of course, make us a championship contender - this is why. He also
can opt out and I'm seeing a sign & trade as a possibility (Leonard, Crabbe, pick) making some sense.

Honestly prior to this stretch, I was only going to the games because I'd already paid for them. Home games seemed to have 1 of 2 options: (1) We'd get destroyed from the opening tip, work our way back in somewhat, then lose or (2) We'd build a 15-20 point halftime lead, and then proceed to blow it. Even the wins felt frustrating.

The past two games in particular, though, have felt like playoff games and the confidence level on the court (and in the stands) is night and day. I'm back to thinking we can't lose at home (which we should rarely do).

Hmm it would be a salary dump on our end.......if the Clippers thought he was bolting. He would not resign with us IMO.
I think he likes LA, but I could also see the Clips trading with OKC for maybe Kanter and Sabonis.

The Blazers are becoming exciting to watch again, like they were last season, only more so now with the addition of Nurkic. It kind of makes me sad that this season is almost over. Ah well, I'm sure my excitement will hold over until next season now.

Crabbe is very instrumental to us winning games. That's why we matched. Trading him would be a bad idea.
