Last night Aaron Brooks killed the Warriors in crunch time in the last 3 mins with the spread 1-4 formation because CJ Watson, supposed "stopper", basically gave Brooks his right hand, basically relying on peeking behind him. What is that? Where is the effort to stay in front? How about give ground but stay in front so you can challenge the shot without fouling? It just looks like players hedge one way from the start and give away the drive. I don't care how fast the other guy is, at least make an effort to stay in front.
I agree. The players are not being held accountable for their defensive mistakes. But, the loss had less to do with Watson when we got guys like Ellis and Curry getting more turnovers than assists. We just threw away possessions. Our two forwards looked more like point guards than those two. We even had 9 more shots on goal than the rockets did... It was just a sloppy game, along with some really crappy officiating. Those refs ought to be ashamed as much as our team for being crap defensively and mishandling the ball.
