North Korea thinks we are scared of them because they can "launch Missles" that can hit the continental US, but one thing every is forgetting to mention here is the US nuclear capibilities. if North Korea hit the US with a Nuke, the US would retaliate with Nuclear weapons, the US also has much more reliable and better Nuclear weapons. Other countries would also not try to stop the US from retailiating because no one wants an idiot who uses Nukes to get what he wants unchecked.

From what I have been told N. Korea's nuclear arms are too bulky for their technology to get over here. It's Japan that really would have to worry about it. If I remember correctly, China and North Korea are okay with each other.
Nothing will happen, North Korea will not launch a nuclear weapon. Nuclear weapons are just a security blanket, 'look at what I have, don't touch me buddy'...If North Korea ever used a nuclear weapon that country would be wipped off the face of the earth in a matter of a few minutes. Kim Jong Il is a sociopath but he isn't stupid enough to use it, he knows the power of nuclear weapons and he's securing his legacy and his countries future against more powerfull nations.
These policticians are idiots - just play into Kim's little plan - he wants to look big and bad - If I were Bush I would remove the sanctions we have on them - give them something that they didn't expect. It's just like tricking a little baby into thinking something just to shut em up. let him prove that he's got a powerful army...withe the testing won't do anything...just like BCB said it's just a little un-told warning or something. China would not like it if NK launched a nuke on a country. They would probably be nuetral for a while but they would end up invading NK themselves. If the United States economy shut down(which would pretty much happen if we were hit with nuke), Chinas economy would shut down and vice versa. War would be on NK like stink on sh*t.

Yeah, for a nuclear blast a 4.2 doesn't seem very high, a man on CNN said it was similar to a few hundred pounds of TNT, I don't know if thats accurate considering the news is now opinion and not actual news/fact. I'm assuming that with Bush making a speech and everyone in the world going nuts that our tests over North Korea have confirmed that it was in fact an underground nuclear explosion. Like I've said, North Korea will not (99% chance) attack anyone with anything but this makes them a huge regional problem for a long time.
If North Korea truly has an atom bomb, and according to some people its a big IF, than its a small one, probably a quarter of the Hiroshima bomb. Also the likelihood of North Korea using a Nuclear missle on the US is slim to none. their missle technology isn't good enough to deliver an atomic bomb to the continental US. if they launched one it would likely be at US bases in South Korea, Japan, or the Alusian Islands.

People have been saying it's either a lot of TNT or a fizzle nuclear blast.
BrewcityBuck is right. The nuke is just a deterent to other nations. There's no way NK would use it on anybody and they for damn sure wouldn't use it against the US unless they had a deathwish. North Korea is all bark and no bite, nothing will come of this.

Its not just the US who is skepticle that NK did a Nuclear test. China, Russia and France aren't sold on them detonating one either.
