Think of the makeup of this roster. They can create and pass with the best of them. But besides Nash, what guy just knows how to put the puck in the net? Kreider is probably the only one, and he is still figuring out his game.

Think of the top 9. Zucc Brassard Stepan Richards all primarily playmaker. Brassard still without a 20 goal season in his entire career. Callahan Hagelin are hard-working guys who are effective on the forecheck and have great intangible but are not primarily goal scorers. Pouliot? We can't expect more than 15 out of him.

Who are the playmakers passing to? This team needs a guy who just knows how to put the puck in the net. Not saying the current roster cannot score at all, but think how many goals a pure scorer could put up in this system. Man I wish we had snagged Ryan this offseason.

Yup, lots of window dressing but not alot of substance. Even getting a skilled guy like Hemsky for the rest of the year probably wouldn't cost them much and could bolster things. McDonagh is improving some year by year offensively, but they just don't have that adept dman who can dish well and get pucks to the net with any force.

If they go get Hemsky it better be for next to nothing.

Still can't figure out what Sather has never brought Ryder in here. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb....

Yes, Ryder is another one. The guy has been available a few time and wherever he goes he hits, or at least gets close to, 30 goals. He might hit it again on the freakin Devils this year with an offense so thin Clowe is in their top 6

If the Wild would pick up part of his salary i would even consider Heatley.

Maybe, but he wouldn't cost a ton and has the requisite size and skill to help down the stretch.

He definitely has baggage, but he's got size, knows how to score, and is a UFA after the season. Not a bad thought. Historically he's always put points up. This season his production is way down but until Parise and Koivu got hurt over there he was playing on the 4th line.

Heatley is washed up. If you took a chance on somebody probably should be Cammalleri. However, I wouldn't give up any picks or noticeable prospects for him. Most I would give up for him would be something like Hrivik or Fogarty and Noreau. That's it. He's always hurt and his return value IMO is next to nothing.

I'd much rather do a MDZ for Andrew Ladd. That would be beautiful if Sather ever could pull that off. Ladd is exactly what we need.

They just lost Clitsome for the season so maybe they're in the market for some D.

Still can't believe EDM hasn't traded a forward yet
