With the Browns absolutely going for a QB and Jacksonville also, Clowney might fall to three. If they Giants draft a little lower, they surely will go LT. Me, I would move Beatty to right tackle, Pugh to guard, take a franchise left tackle.

i also would immediately start trading players like Rolle, Tuck, Kiwi and Joseph for the best package of picks I could get, Their time is over here.

Just posted the same at the same time. Yea - only recourse now is to throw in the towel and try and get as many picks as possible. The team needs a total face lift.

Please pay attention to the NFL. Teams don't take other teams garbage. Draft picks are more valuable than that.

The whole team is garbage? Really? Guys like Rolle, Kiwi, Jenkins, Nicks have ZERO value? I think most teams are smart enough to know that there are some decent players on this team that are failing in braindead Gilbride and Fewell systems, and if used properly could help out.

There's a cap most teams are up against. You can't add unless you have guys to IR or waive people.

You don't think the Patriots would like Nicks? How about a team like the Ravens taking Rolle? You're just no thinking things through.

Of course you might want players. The NFL doesn't work that way. You quite frankly don't see many trades at all.

You just saw Richardson get dealt. Brady would kill for a receiver like Nicks this year, and Rolle would work out great in the Ravens secondary. The reason you don't see trades is because teams tend to take several weeks to see what they have. We don't have that predicament here - the Giants are - and will continue to be - the worst team in the NFL.

Richardson got dealt because the Colts lost their back for the year.

Messiah, you are thinking like a dumb fan, not like a GM. GM's don't look at teams that struggle and say everybody on the team stinks. Rolle is a very good player and a clutch playoff guy. I don't see the Giants having any problem getting a 2 and a 4 for him. Joseph is a solid, young DT. Again, the reason they shouldn't have drafted Hankins but they Giants love wasting 2nd round picks on DT's when they have no LB's or OL. I see them easily getting a 2nd for Joseph. Maybe another pick as well. Kiwi and Tuck would probably bring back a 3rd or 4th rounder to a contender.

Nicks to NE. Thought the same thing. Brady is old and his window is closing I think a a first, third and Thompkins is a deal the Pats would do in a second.

The reason trades don't happen a lot is because most of the crappy teams are crappy every year and will keep any talent they have to appease their fan base. The Giants are in a really unusual position for an NFL team. They have an elite QB and WR core with no offensive line and no LB's. They also have won 2 titles recently so the fan base is not going to care if they tank the season to restock. The scene is too perfect for the Giants not to trade players. Also, there are tons of ways teams can work around cap space. They can send a useless player back to even the salary out that the Giants can cut in the off-season.

The Giant management team(?) with Reese in charge just do not trade
players for picks......they are THAT stupid. It is SO obvious that Giant
personnel lacks talent and yet, they think they have a good core............
total BS. Management is totally lost.....like their team.

LMAO! Raider. You have no clue on football. Harvin absolutely stinks compared to Nicks. Percy Harvin might be the most overrated player in all of football. He's not even a good WR. I would say he is average at best. He's a dynamic return guy. That is it. Nicks is a number 1 receiver.

In the 2011 post season. Nicks had in the following games.

    6 catches 115 yards 2 TD
    7 catches 165 yards 2 TD
    5 catches 55 yards
    10 catches 109 yards

Percy Harvin and about 95% of the other receivers in the league couldn't do that in their wet dreams. Wake up dude.

Harvin has been in the league 4 years and he hasn't even broken 1,000 yards. Nicks who has played hurt a lot probably would have broken 1200 to 1400 yards twice if not for some fluke injuries. You need to do some research before you post nonsense like that.

Need to trade Nicks to New England for a 2 now. Finish with a top 5 draft pick and go LT in round 1, C in round 2, G in round 2 (NE pick), LB in round 3, LB in round 4. Use $$$$ you save on Nicks to sign 2 LBs in free agency, move Beatty inside, get rid of Bass, Snee, and Diehl once and for all.

    1. Nicks is bringing back at least a 1 and a 3. He's young. He completely dominated the playoffs when he was there. He's clearly made Cruz twice as good.
    2. You can't sit there and not draft at least one LB in the second round. The Giants have shown for the most part that they can't pick LB's for crap in the 3rd and later rounds. Very rarely have they ever hit on one. Thus why I believe they need either a 1, 3 two's and 2 thirds or 2 1's, 2 second's, a 3rd and two 4's. Something like that.

If they had two 1's and 2 2's, I agree with LT, then go OLB with the second first, C and ILB with 2 2's and the guard in 3 and 4.

I don't think Nicks will bring that much as he is EXTREMELY injury prone... He has not played a single season in which he played every game... not one... over his 4 seasons, he misses and average of 2.25 games a year...

Sadly, Nicks and JPP look like they are closer to being finished, then they do of ever returning to their prime.
