What needs to be done for this team to get right? All of us on this board who are fans of this team have a wide range of suggestions from trading Carter for his percieved lack of effort to trading RJ becasue his and VC's game are too similar to trading Kidd and starting over, We direct our anger and frustrations about this teams play towards L. Frank, I mean there is so much that is wrong with this team I can't pin point it, if anyone has any ideas feel free to share please keep it civil...just be objective and tell me what you think...I'm just tired of being frustrated with this team I started this thread to vent and for others to vent

    - they lost house and didn't find a replacement for his shooting

    - they lost moore and didn't find a replacement for his ability to play off kidd and carter

    - magloire the supposed mikki replacement has turned out to be a bust. even kidd and carter can't make him look good, he can't play off them. he's nearly as bad on offense as collins, but atleast collins has the good sense to limit his shots while magloire tries to score but instead puts up bricks or gets his shot blocked. bah, the nets are wasting 10 million on both of them

    - nachbar hasn't been the weapon off the bench like last year but he's still the best they've got

    - carter and jefferson are the only reliable scorers for this team

    - marcus and krstic out with injuries and have struggled to find their way into game form so far this season

    - for some reason frank still runs the play where he has collins come out to set a high pick and roll. this play should be banished forever. it's useless and doesn't create any good scoring opportunties.

    - wright had a good start to the season but has fallen off

    - sean and josh have been pleasant suprises and are the best, bigs but they're still limited. they can't really step outside to hit the midrange jumper. i think they should be backing each other up at the 4 with a center that can shoot the ball.

    - they need some scorers/shooters off the bench and just better overall bench production

    kidd/marcus/armstrong
    carter/shooter combo guard/wright
    jefferson/nachbar/shooter
    boone/sean/allen
    krstic/another krstic type center

I was just reading the article about John Lucas helping Marcus out, I think Lucas should be an assitant with the Nets, thats the kind of assistant coach Frank needs next to him

    lucas needs to be coach!

FRank is the worst. The players like him but dont play for him. I bet we get popovich or phil jackson or avery johnson and this team turns around quick. Frank the other day said that the team didnt come out prepared to play the blazers. Whos fault is that??

a good coach is a great motivator before anything else!

You will run thru a wall for a great coach!!!

The whole coaching staff needs to go.

Need more from the bench. Look at these bench comparisons over the past 5 games:
    Knicks 23 Nets 13
Blazers 43 Nets 32 (discount a little because of major garbage time for both teams)
    Celtics 27 Nets 17
Sonics 42 Nets 24 (another garbage time game, but Nets subs still sucked)
    Bobcats 29 Nets 26

    Total: Opponents 164 Nets 112

Boki is the only one that is a threat (and I use the word threat loosely). Allen has his games, but his defense is horrible. When the bench comes in, close games go to double digit deficits and double digit leads become close games.

The key to a good bench is having players that can play multiple positions because your only going to want to go 8 or 9 deep on most nights. Armstrong is too poor a shooter to do anything other than give Kidd a breather. Wright can't shoot and is mainly a defensive specialist. Collins is useful for low post defense only. There's two shooters on the bench: Boki and Allen. We have no backcourt help off the bench.

You need a combination of backcourt defense, backcourt shooting, backcourt ballhandling, frontcourt shooter, frontcourt defense, and lowpost offense. And you need to get that all from 3 or 4 guys. If Nenad was healthy and Marcus could shoot and play defense they'd be in better shape.

Wright and Magloire need to go for a good wing player.

This team is going nowhere, and this road trip could be the death blow. If they blow it up and start over, get younger, faster and more athletic, maybe they can make a run at Lebron when he's a free agent. I can't take their suckitude anymore.
