Thomas and Cousin lead Toros to easy victory

    Lance Thomas and Marcus Cousin scored 19 points apiece, and five other teammates scored in double figures as the Austin Toros defeated the Bakersfield Jam on the third day of the NBA D-League Showcase at South Padre Island Convention Center.

    Leo Lyons and Aubrey Coleman added 16 each for Austin, Eric Dawson had 14, Carldell Johnson 12 and Jermaine Beal 11.

    Cousin and Coleman had 11 rebounds apiece, and Johnson had 10 assists and three steals for the Toros, who led 62-42 at halftime and shot 52.6 percent from the field in the game. Thomas was 7 of 11 from the field.
