<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">When Etan Thomas and Brendan Haywood engaged in a locker room scuffle several weeks ago, the centers became the butt of more than a few jokes. Since then, however, the two big men have provided a nice one-two punch for the Wizards.

Thomas and Haywood were essential elements of Monday night's 106-97 victory that ended the Dallas Mavericks' 12-game winning streak. They combined to pull down 21 rebounds, score 13 points and block three shots.

Thomas, who has started all 17 games heading into tonight's game at the New York Knicks, set the tone on the first possession Monday night with a display of defensive aggressiveness that was needed against a team like the high-scoring Mavericks.</div>

Good thing that they were able to put it in the past. The center position for Washington has played great off the ball so far, containing the elite offensive big men and doing all of the dirty work in the paint. Haywood hasn't disappointed so far coming off the bench and we should expect for him and Etan to keep playing like this.
