Thomas, who is averaging 7.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 21.4 minutes, sprained his left ankle in last Saturday's loss to the Houston Rockets, and swelling in the ankle has continued to limit his mobility. "He's going to make the trip but he's not going to play." Brendan Haywood made his second straight start in place of Thomas last night and will continue to start until Thomas comes back.
