<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Jason Kidd began demanding a trade a year ago, first to the Lakers, then to the Mavs starting last summer, Rod Thorn told The Record’s Ian O’Connor. In his first detailed interview on events leading to the trade, Thorn said discussions with Kidd were often ugly, that Kidd’s decision to make his demand public initially hurt the Nets, but Mark Cuban really wanted Kidd, helping to close the deal fairly.

Not a surprise here. He hasn't seemed overly thrilled with the Nets for a couple years now. I'm honestly shocked they waited so long to trade him.

No news here, Kidd was the star of the all star game last year too....media wise. We all know Joumana was the force behind him re-signing here.

On a different note, Kidd's on this week's SI cover.
