-Devin Harris is an incredible player. At the beginning of the season I predicted him to finish with 18/6 averages max. I can definitely see something around 23/7 now. He completely harassed one of the best PG defenders in the league, on his home court.
-VC is leading this team very well so far. He scores when we need buckets, lets Harris do his thing when he's hot, doesn't force shots, drives to the basket. Couldn't ask for more.
-Lopez didn't do well offensively BUT he took good shots and didn't let frustration ruin his game. 4 blocks is also impressive.
-Simmons finally played well. He had a few boneheaded mistakes but he hit two threes and had a few smart moves.
-Hayes struggled with his shot but hustled and had some good drives.
-Swift looked like he was giving it his all, which is nice to see. We all know the limits of his talent, but he did an ok job. When we were struggling on the boards, he was able to grab some much needed rebounds as well.
-Yi had a decent game, hit some shots. He did what we needed him to do.

-Finally, Lawrence Frank deserves his own paragraph. He made good substitutions: he rested VC and Harris enough but not too much and put in the right players at the right time (ex. Swift). He took time-outs at the right times. Also, notice how the Nets COMPLETELY dominated the game after every time-out he took. Great performance against one of the most respected coaches of our time.

The Nets are above .500 and December is just around the corner. Who would've thought we'd be treated to such great basketball so early in the season?

I think once Vince retires, past the crazy dunks over the years, people are going to remember him for his leadership during this season. Taking a group of young, inexperienced players along with role players to play competitive basketball and win against some of the league's best teams..all while allowing for Lopez's and Harris's development, will be one of Vince's greatest accomplishments.

Swift is not lacking in talent. Its the intangibles that give him grief.

well, you guys summed it up perfectly. not much I can add to that besides: let's hope we continue this great play tonight, the 2nd half of a back to back, the last game of a road trip. are we going to pack it in? or are we going to "play our tails off" ? would like to see CDR get some action tonight too.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE WIN VS. UTAH

I've said it and I will continue to say it, this team has been playing TERRIFIC basketball for the past two weeks, or simply after the game vs Detroit when Harris came back. If you look at our two losses, we lost to Cleveland and to the Lakers, both games we had under control and lost it in the third quarter. This team is a completely different team than last year's Nets in which if we played a good team for some reason I personally felt we were going to lose or simply run out of gas and it happened often.

Performances like yesterday how me otherwise about this year's Nets, last night we went into Utah with one goal and that was to win the game and we did just that. Harris keeps playing unreal basketball and Vince keeps letting the offense come to him and not forcing shots.

Simmons played well so did Swift of the bench, so what else could we have asked for? It was one of the best performances of the year (maybe right behind the game at Toronto). Hope we keep it rolling tonight vs Phoenix.

RECORD: 8-7, who would of have thought!

It was a great game all round! I'ver never doubted the players, but it's great to see Lawrence Frank on top of his game. It seemed he got some unnecessary flack at times.

im very positive about this team... i didnt like brook when we drafted him but ive changed my opinion about him completely... hes tougher than i thought and his offensive game is indeed up to par... this team has me very hopeful about its chances....
