Looking like the rangers are keeping hush hush about brassard but im starting to believe that the injury is more serious then it seems, I wouldn't be suprised if he missed rest of the MTL series unless it goes 2-2 and becomes close..... I mean if were winning i can't see him rushing back,

What do you guys think it is? Seperated Shoulder? Concussion? Bruise? I'm not sure how long the timetable is to return on a separated shoulder.

Also anybody know if brassard was injured a lot when he was with the blue jackets? I'm starting to get worried hes very important to our main scoring line

I don't see that at all. Would they have put him in front of the media if he was concussed? No way IMO.

I think it is his back, which has caused him issues for a while and caused him to miss practice a few times as well. I would expect him to play in game 3, BUT I could also see them sitting him since they are up 2-0.

At this moment I am not too concerned. If we hear something more I will be. But for now I expect him to play game 3 or 4, if they feel they need him or want him to.

I agree Chuck. I think it is his back. I am not very concerned either. He plays game 5.

He was playing with a sore back which I'm sure the aggravated. Hopefully he can get back in there soon.

Brassard sat out Game 2 due to an undisclosed injury sustained on a hit by Canadiens defenseman Mike Weaver early in Game 1, but Vigneault hinted Brassard would be back in Thursday's lineup.

"If I were a betting man," Vigneault said, before trailing off and breaking into a smile.

Derick Brassard on the ice at practice in his normal spot.

Sure that means he will play tomorrow night.

Go and then tell the wife you came down with a bad case of FOMOH. I think it's supposed to rain anyways.

    Now maybe he sits again:

Alain Vigneault said today that Derick Brassard was still day to day. (Rangers)

Jeff Klein of the NY Times tweets, “AV says in French that Brassard is probably out tonight. In English, he merely said that Brassard is “day to day.” (NYT)

Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports tweeted “Alain Vigneault said Derick Brassard is day-to-day. Conclusion: he’s not playing tonight.” (TVA)

He took part in the Rangers morning skate today and yesterday skated with Mats Zuccarello in his normal spot.

Not too concerned. Spoke to the media. Practiced. If he sits I really think it is because of the 2-0 lead, and two more days off after tonight until game 4.
