The game wasn't broadcasted in my area, so I watched from some crappy links online, along with writing an essay for English, so this probably won't be the greatest review. Oh well.

To start things off, major props to Kevin Kolb, who has silenced his critics. He made history today, being the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 300 yards in both of his first two starts. Kolb has far exceeded expectations and has played well in the absence of McNabb. He was responsible for 3 touchdowns today, and really got the offense moving. I'm not going to proclaim him a superstar yet, or even a future starter, because let's be honest, the Saints and the Chiefs are not superior defensive teams. But at the very least, I have some confidence now that we have somebody who can manage the game if McNabb goes down. There is nothing wrong with providing us stability as the backup quarterback, and I think Kolb has the ability to do that.

Also, take it for what it's worth, but Jamarcus Russell (7-24, 109 yds, 1 TD, 2 int) was absolute crap against the Chiefs last week. Kevin Kolb (24-34, 327 yds, 2 TD, 1 rush TD) tore them up. So I guess Kolb > Russell? :dunno:

As for Vick, he didn't see the field very often. He had 1 rush for 7 yards, and was 0-2 on his passes.

Shady McCoy had his first NFL start today, in place of an injured Brian Westbrook, and I like what I saw. He definitely has a future in this league, hard runner and very explosive. In my very honest opinion, so far this year, McCoy has been more impressive than Westbrook.

Desean Jackson is a fucking beast. I love that guy! He earned me major points in FF. Brent Celek was also terrific today as well. I have no idea why didn't get more playing time over LJ Smith, but now he's the full time starter now, and rightfully so.

Nothing much to say about the defense. They played well for the majority of the game, pressured Cassell throughout. Gaither actually looked good today, surprise surprise.

Overall, complete 180 from last week. I'm hesitant to get too excited, or to give us too much props, because the Chiefs suck. But hey, a win is a win, and everybody looked good so I'm happy. Next week is our bye week. Hopefully McNabb and Westy can heal up and return for the next game.

    btw, @ the Foreskins.

Desean's arguably the NFL's best WR in the open field. He had a narsty game.

Like you said, it was only against the Chiefs so there's no point in proclaiming Kolb the heir apparent to McNabb. But at the very least, these two games will eliminate the premature proclamations of "bust." The dude's showcased the raw skills that made him a 2nd round QB and I think he showed some of the seasoning that comes with sitting on the bench for so long.
