I like this by the Bulls. I do think that Portland made a pointless trade because Thomas most likely was going 2 anyway, but oh well. But Thomas is a superior athlete, can play the 4 and the 3, strong, runs the floor, and most importantly - fits into the Bulls defensive minded system really well. Not to mention he has one of the highest potential ceilings in this draft. Sefolosha - good pick. He plays defense, can score in bunches, and gives Chicago some size in the backcourt. With Hinrich, Gordon, and Duhon (and even a little Pargo) handling the backcourt, a 6'7'' athletic defender will fit in really well with Chicago. Chicago had a great draft and got the guys they wanted, but also don't completely forget about Khryapa. He is tough, plays his heart out, and actually won the starting job in Portland a lot. He is young and will be solid. I don't know about his playing time behind Deng and Nocioni, but he is big enough and tough enough to fill in some of those missed Songaila minutes.

I dont like what we did, essentially we drafted a more defensive minded lamar odom(sf-pf,good rebounder, developing passer) I like what we added but we still have no interior scoring option, and just another player to stack at sf. I would have liked us to keep Aldridge instead, he has a lot more upside offense, and is also a good defender. But with what we've done so far, I really feel we need to trade Chandler before the season begins. We need a low post scorer, more then anything.
I definately think the bulls hit money this draft. Khyraba is a great pickup considering we got him as a toss-in. John Paxson just did a great job. Our defense will be very in-depth as I have read from some places (such as Yahoo) that Thabo is thought to have the best defense in all of Europe. Tyrus Thomas has great potential and with the players the bulls have been rumored to go after in FA (Ben Wallace [we are front runners-], Przybilla [blocking machine] or even Nazr [very good on knicks pre-isiah screw up team era] or nene). The future is looking brighter than ever. The average age on the team is 25 years old and yet more than half the team has playoff expereince. I applaud John Paxson and Scott Skiles.
I really like the Tyrus Thomas pickup. He might not have a good first season, but remember he was a freshman last year and will have plenty of time to develop. Thabo was a perfect pickup for the Bulls. They could use a strong guard up front to compliment Gordon. He plays with a lot of passion and can pass the ball extremley well. I think that he might turn out to be a great 6th man in the future.
