This Clipper team is SO frustrating to watch. i feel your pain. Is it me or does Kaman not have very good hands? The one thing he has to be able to do is finish at the rim.
The Suns opened the game with a 10-0 lead after the first 2 minutes and never looked back. D'Antoni's system is so interchangeable for players and he really has an understanding of how to put players in roles they can succeed in. Steve Nash is a huge reason for the success, but the unselfishness of this team should be embraced by every team in the NBA.
i had to stop watching this game last night..it was soo terrible...they got beat so bad, that was one of the worst games id seen this season

You see, I watch the Suns a lot, and I don't know why teams constantly do this, but if you're not a three point shooting team, you won't beat them by taking three's. We're not the Sonics, we're not Sacramento, or whoever else. Maggette taking 5 three's is not needed, the team taking 19 three's is not needed. The best way to attack Phoenix is to try and go to the basket all game, and play a mid-range game. Leave the three's alone, unless you're very open, or are the Sonics, and can actually play that game. Three's give them more fastbreak oppurtunities than you'd like. Marion is one of the quickest guys down the court in the league, by the time you've shot and it's rebounded, he's already catching the ball and dunking. Also their's no need to waste clock and try and force inside, if it's open, use it, but too many teams turn it over trying to force it inside. Phoenix hates to foul, and they can't afford their "big's" [aren't really big] to get in foul trouble, so if you go to the basket, they will give up some easy baskets, or if they don't, they will foul and be in trouble. Maggette could be a good guy against the Suns, but Raja is a guy that could check him out on the perimeter. The only ways I've seen to beat the Suns is to get to the line, and keep away from three's [unless you're very good at them], and attack from mid-range and in all game. I don't think Phoenix has won too many games where the opposition goes to the line 30+ times. If you looked at the first game where we beat them, we went to the line 28 times, and took a total ot 10 three's. The second game where we lost by 10, we again went to the line 28 times, but only made 19 FT's, I wonder if that was a factor? . We took 7 three's, and made 1. Kaman's FG attempts in those games 8, and 9. This last game, 30 FTA, again good, but 10 missed, and 19 3PT attempts, making only 5. Kaman had 10 FGA. We're one of the best FT shooting teams in the league, so obviously missing FT's is not going to help the team win. We had 24 offensive rebounds, beat them 59-47 on the glass, and took 12 more shots than them, even with less offensive efficiency though not to the degree we had, that shouldn't have been a game that we lost. The slow start added to this. Phoenix get's teams down, and teams think they have to make three's, or force offense to get back in.
