Three players have been released from the Kings today according to AP. The three players in question are Liu Wei, Anwar Furguson and Tony Bland. I dont think this comes as a surprise to anyone. the kings are now down to 16 on the roster.
No surprise that Liu Wei should be waived. He was signed just for publicity for the China games, and the fact that he didn't shoot well in China basically spelt his doom.
hey im not suprised. i never heard of them until few days ago. i guess they were only there as potential projects, but couldn't make the cut.
I dont think they were ever even considered project players. For someone to be considered that doesnt there have to be some kind of realistic expectation for them to make the team? These guys in all reality never had a chance. But at least, it gets them to the point where they are getting out on the floor with an NBA team being given the chance to show what they have so its not all bad for them.
These 3 players wouldn't have made a difference to the Kings anyways.so it really is no big deal here.
another released today Adam Parada 7'0 Rookie Center Cal-Irvine was released today according to KHTK radio. No links available yet, but considering he was an undrafted rookie, there is probably not going to be a lot of hoopla about his release. I was kind of hoping he would make the team with Ostertag's penchant for tripping over boxes & whatnot...
