    Same here, I loved Thurman's un-matched intensity as our Catcher, around the Leagues at that time, His only equals were Johnny Bench, and I loved those face to face confrontations with Carlton Fisk..........

    Not sure who saw the Interview with McCann last year, in April, when He mentioned He had tall shoes to fill, in an org that Had one of the best Catcher's.......trying to live up to Munson, (not even speaking of stats) but Thurman's Command of the Diamond, and Intense Love for the Game, which was so obvious......

    Yep, and Posada was a Munson Freak as well.Always remember Sparky Anderson saying Munson was a good player, could play in the National League, but don't embarrass any man by comparing him to Johnny Bench. Fuck you Sparky, Thurman was always up to the task, ditto Yogi Berra, Johnny Bench my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
