Does anyone else think the NFL is blowing this whole Mike Tice ticket scalping thing WAYYYYYYY out of proportion? They're talking about fining and/or suspending him for it. How much money could he have possibly made from the tickets? A few grand? Maybe less?

I think they should just fine him $1000 or $2000.00, slap him on the wrist and issue a stern warning to the rest of the league/coaches that the next person who gets caught will be made an example of for the future.

I don't know... Normailly I don't mind seeing misfortune befall the Vikings, but I don't think Tice deserves this kind of abuse.

I read one story where the writer(not the most reliable, but with some connections to NFL) said he knew of some executives who built thier houses with the money they made from selling those tickets.

I never like to see the NFL 'make an example' of one person. If they know this is a widespread problem in the NFL, and if they insist on giving Tice a big punishment, then they should investigate all the coaches in the league and fine everyone similar amounts.

Penalizing one person when the NFL was basically allowing an entire culture of scalping to go on is just not fair, regardless of how much money any one person made.

I think tice is the only one who was stupid enough to get caught so far. The others managed to fly under the radar and not leave the evidence.

The only reason Tice got caught is a player reported him for doing it...that's it. If you listened to the other coaches reactions, they all talked about how it could have easily been any coach in the league who got caught.
