The Vikings picked up Tice's option for one more year at $1 million. Good move, but if he screws up next year, he should be canned.
I think it's a good move, too. They couldn't find anyone else to coach for $1 million and they'd have to shell out for all new assistants, too. Plus, you bring in a new coach and it's essentially rebuilding time. Tice is worth hanging with for another year.

Actually I could see your point of view since his record againest the Packers is 0-2 this season and IF the Vikings somehow make it to the playoffs they would probably go againest the Packers in the 1st round and have a perfect 0-3 record againest the Packers this year. It has been 6 years since the Vikings have been a real threat in the NFL thats when Red began to be a tight wad. FYI Red if you want a new stadium put a Football team on the field that can win a Superbowl and hire a coaching staff that will motivate that team year in and year out. That means you need to start spending money!!
