Defensive back Geno Smith sprained his knee and will “probably be out for a day or two.” Tight end Kurt Freitag sustained a turf toe injury. Saban labeled Freitag’s injury as “the biggest concern.” Saban also said a couple of players sustained mild ankle sprains but did not name the players.
