so what, marshall faulk has played hurt, mcnabb has played hurt, lots of plyers play hurt, thats no reason to give some1 a mvp.i personally would have given it to manning or brady becasue they have done alot more this year. brady dosnt have the numbers, but doesnt have the weapons either. mine would go like this

manning-all the tools, hes a iron man to.
brady-does the most with the least
jamal lewis-defenses knew it was gonna be a handoff
mcnabb-does the second most with the least to AND PLAYED HURT ALL YEAR
then mcnair-played hurt, but had derrick mason and edie geroge, and a great D

They also dont turn the ball over and the combination of a stingy O and a stingy D results in 14-2

yea, but the eagles, im not being biased this time, this is true have:

won 9 straight games depite allowing the NFCs top 5 rushers(mcalister, davis, barber x2,green, then hambrick, curtis martin and warrick dunn/tj duckett) rush for over 100 yards.

have overcome alot of injuries, a whole D-line thas good enough to start on alot of the teams in the NFL, 3/4 of the pro bowl secondary, the franshise due to a broken thumb and something on his previous broken leg.

no stingy D(untill the redzone) and no stingy O, and great STs to got 12-4 and the best record in the NFC.

thats more of a team, all you do is win, and have no stats to do it.

thats not one of my posts were i praise the eagles, im serious

that is funny....by the way tho Dawk, no one is saying the Eagles dont play as a team, just that the Patriots play better with less talent

away from the thread i see,

imo how the hell do you give co mvps manning or mcnair?
I think you pick one and go with one, thats as bad as saying
the final of the score to this game is a tie.

I never agreed on it ever, i remember when barry got the shaft
he hit 2000 yards and split it with already 2 time back to back mvp
    favre.

Sanders deserved it then like jamal lewis earned it now 2000 yards
    is amazing.

Its funny you two bring up the eagles and patroits.
These two could actually meet up in houston. I think
philly would win this game. They are so close and have
been its there time. akers is on the money and vinteri
is struggling could be the diffrence of winning and losing.

No one actually voted for a split MVP, but when all the votes were tabulated, it was a tie...in this case, I think you have everyone revote, but with only Manning and McNair as choices, that should break the tie....also, the idea of an MVP is stupid anyway, Football is a team game, not an individual game, I think they should change the award to Most Outstanding Player of the Year....

McNair finished the season with a 100.4 QB rating and Manning finished with a 99 Rating. I don't think McNair was voted co-MVP because he played hurt. He played well while hurt and while healthy. 24 TD's and 100.4 efficiency rating. He ran for a few more TD's as well. Oh yeah and led his team to 12 wins.

Priest Holmes is easily at the top, if not the number 1 choice, on my list. If it wasn't for him (and Dante Hall) the Chiefs would not be in the playoffs...especially with their defense.

    Others to consider:

    1. Donovan McNabb - I don't like him, but he face a ton of criticism and proved everybody wrong
    2. Clinton Portis - A sleeper pic, but he is the energy of the broncos
    3. Steve McNair
    4. Jamal Lewis - Want the definition of Baltimore offense? See Jamal Lewis.

what about LT????? first player ever with 1000 rushing and 100 REC. over 2000 total yards right? 1500 rushin, 5.4 YPC, 100 REC, over 700 yards, & PYC, arent his numbers something like that, so what hes on a loser, hes still the best player in the league

Thats why the award should be called "Most Outstanding Player of the Year" and not MVP....Its a player of the year award anyway, but its stupid that if your team isnt in the playoffs, you cant dont win the award
