I know some of you may be laughing. Couch says that the shoulder problems that have plagued him in the past are healed up and he can throw the ball just fine. Here is the part of this story that impresses me. Couch must be working his butt off.

Couch, who will turn 30 this month, said he’s up to 245 lbs., more than 20 lbs. over his playing weight when he was drafted by the Browns in 1999, and has lowered his body fat content from 13 percent to five percent.

There is a link to a video interview on the page that I've linked to above.

Couch gets half a dozen workouts with teams every year and no one signs him, but that indicates that teams have no problem with him, if he can prove hes healthy....if he can pass a physical and demonstrate that hes fully healed, he will be signed by someone....

Is Tim Couch taking steriods? I don't know, but he has never been in trouble for anything, so I don't have any reason to think that this is anything other than him changing his eating and workout habits. He has been out of the game for three years so this hasn't happened over night. Beside, Tim has to know that the NFL will test him sooner or later if he gets signed.

I think that Tim Couch will do great in his return. It will be about getting himself in the right situation. If i were him, I would call falcons. Hecould beat out harrington and there is a ton of talent on offense.

    He's 30 already?

Anyway, if he's finally healthy, he could work his way into a backup position somewhere, he might be able to pull a Jeff Garcia in a few years.

You never know... If he makes a comeback, we could have another Rich Gannon on our hands. He was terrible forever, and then in his later years actually found the awesome sauce and led a team to the Superbowl.

I won't hold my breath, but I'll be looking on with interest.

Wooow, if he came close to Rich Gannon that'd be amazing. A lot of it depends on what coach he links up with.

Couch always looked a little stringy to me, but 245 seems a bit far in the other direction.

Hmmm. Yeah. I think that Tim Couch realizes that, but what has that got to do with Timchasing his dreams of playing in the NFL? He should take whatever chances that are given him so that he isn't looking back later and wondering. Personally, I still blame the Cleveland Browns for ruining Couch by not giving him an adequate OL or running game. All playing for the Browns ever did for Couch was get him hurt.
