I don't really follow baseball, but when are these awards given?

Second, how big of a chance does Lincecum really have of winning this award? Cliff Lee's team didn't make the playoffs and he's most likely a lock for the AL award, and neither did the Giants. But will that effect Lincecum, and will he win it?

November, and who knows. I think he has a chance, but number of victories has been a pretty reliable gauge for the cy young, and that's lincecum's achilles heel. Carlton won in a year the Phillies won less than 60 games, but he did win 27 of them.

It will be between Webb and Lincecum, Santana, will probably come in third, and Volquez may come in fourth.

Weird that all of the candidates didn't go to the playoffs.

Everything I've read on the NL Cy Young has listed Lincecum as the guy most likely to win, but every one has also said it will be close. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I think he's going to win.

Wins are too low, but he was the best pitcher in the league. My money is on Webb.

he should def win, we was the best pitcher by far, best era and most strikeouts, with one of the lowest run supports in the league.
