Should be a familiar headline for Tim Thomas this season. Maybe the Bulls can convince buying him out and eventually replacing him with Antonio Davis. The Bulls are better off giving the minutes to their young players, Songalia, Sweetney, Nocioni, and Allen.
Nothing big I honestly think anything of TT he is a nice little player who is inconsistent, but can have his big games here or there. However, he is really just playing out his contract this season no one who I know expects him to be a Bull after this season, nor be a big part of the team during the season unless he improves his defense, and consistency. Skiles like to give everyone a chance to prove themselves, but there is a catch you have to play defense, and work hard. Tim Thomas does not fit either requirement. If he is hurt it will simply be an even better reason not to play him.
Tim Thomas is going to be nothing more than a 1-year rental for the Bulls who won't be around once his contract is up. I don't really expect him to play a major part in the rotation unless he can stiffen up on the defensive end of the ball and not be such a liability. If, and that's a BIG if, but if he does that, he might get some minutes out on that court. If not, look for more minutes to go to Songaila, Nocioni, Basden, and the rest of the younger guys on the bench.
