According to one source, the chances Thomas will be moved before the NBA's Feb. 23 trade deadline were virtually nonexistent.

Thomas appeared in three games this season before he was dismissed from the team. His contract will expire after the season.

"We'll continue to talk to teams, but we won't make a trade just to make a trade," Bulls general manager John Paxson said. "It has to be a deal we believe will improve our team."</div>

This poses the question if a trade is out of the possibilities. Do we waive him? Knowing his contract comes off the books this summer, and that was the only reason we really acquired him. Or do we keep him on the bench, and not let him sign with another team that could possibly hurt our chances at a playoff run.

Keep him. He'll sign with a playoff contender (or the Knicks, they like doing that) and may as well not let the risk of him hurting our already slim chances.

just let his contract expire... you're probably not getting anything good for him anyway and more cap space is never a bad thing. only trade him for picks/more young talent.

What are you guys talking about? If Tim Thomas would hurt our playoff run, why don't we play him if he's so good? TT can't play, who cares if he signs with someone else.

I still love how the Bulls have treated Tim Thomas since the trade. Keeping him off the roster and making him stay at home was great to see. I wish more owners had the balls to put these idiots in check.

I think Paxson's comment had a lot of sarcasm to it. "It has to be a deal we believe will improve our team."

Obviously just getting rid of this moron is an improvement for the Bulls. If the Bulls can't find a taker for the moron, I think they'll just reach a buyout with Thomas.

I'm glad the Bulls have hung onto him. He gives us TONS of cap relief this summer and he deserves to be sitting on his butt at home. He's useless. No player that dumb should be in the league.
