I know that the Minnesota Timberwolves is going to win the championship at 2004 , i believe it , because of the MVP KG. How about ya ppl??
I also believe they can win it all this year and not just get past the 1st round. I don't think it is only because of KG. The whole team plays very well. The wolves have a nice mix of defense and offense. They have alot of offensive weapons on the team like KG, Spree, Sam, Wally, Olowokandi... And they also have players that give them alot of defense like Trenton and Ervin. The team has improved alot since last year. I think they have what it takes to win a championship this year. But there are other teams as well that have a big chance of winning it. One of them are the defending champions the Spurs. Another would be the Lakers. Anyone of these team could win it. But I hope theTwolves will win it.

Spree also has experience. The team is totally different from last year. The Spurs have excellent defense and are one of the best at that but the Wolves are also a great defensive team.
We are definately a serious contender for the title this year, but I also agree that the Spurs are the favorite to win it again this year. Our chemistry is one of the best in the league, everyone loves playing with eachother, and there are no soap operas here like in LA. I think we will go deep into the playoffs this year.
The Wolves will win on a couple conditions: 1) They keep up their hot shooting and KG does awesome as usual 2) Laker injuries to key players 3) Spurs defense goes to shambles somehow They have a good chance, but it will be interesting...
I dont think they will win it this year because lack of experience. They will make it past the first round and possibly the second but if they meet up with the spurs i think the defending champs will take it becuse of the outstanding defense and the reighning MVP TIMMY D will show Kg the REAL MVP.
Its way to early to start talking championships. bbut lack of experince will not be what cost this team a championship. 2 of their 3 core players have played in the finals before. Plus role players like Mark Madsen, Ervin Johnson, Oliver Miller have all been to the finals before. Fred Hoiberg was on that Pacers team that took the bulls seven games in the eastern conference finals in 98'. The only players on this team that hasnt gone deep into the playoffs are KG, Wally, trenton, Darrick Martin. But Wally, D-Mart, have been starts before in the playoffs so despite not going far they still should have a since of what it takes. And the closer & closer KG gets to a championship the more & more hungry he will become. And I have a feeling he will get into a zone where it isnt going to matter whether or not he has ever led a team to a championship before. And Sam & Spree will be there to cover his back. But like I said its to early to start talking chips right now. The Wolves still have to finish off Denver. And round two vs the Kings/ Mavs wont be a cake walk.
Minnesota defently deserves to get far in the playoffs this season, if they get to the finals would be cool, but it's just to wait and see guys. I really hope they get there...
They've worked really hard and proven their worth. Their team is complete now, not to mention one of the most powerful in the league, the new Flip Rotation will surely come in handy, sure it handed them losses here and there, but in the longrun it will take them to the promised land....

Lakers will beat the rockets in either 5 or 6...wont stretch to 7, im pretty sure about that... and the fact that the lakers have been playing absolutely HORRIBLE, inconsistent and seem disorientated on offense and defense leads me to believe that the spurs have a chance of possible sweeping them/ taking it in 5 games... the spurs are playing amazing right now...and it will be VERY hard for LA to stop them unless the HOF 4 get thier acts together and stop playing so...unorganized.. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> MVP TIMMY D will show Kg the REAL MVP. </div> uh....how about no i know ur a biased spurs fan but to say KG isnt the real MVP this season shows lack of knowledge on your part... KG is the man.PERIOD. If you cant handle that, u got issues this guy works day in day out, he puts up #'s that are insane. KG has all of the tools along his sides to take it this year. KG, Sammy C, Olowakandi and Spree are gonna take it.
Once again why are Lakers & t-wolves fans talking about championship? And who winning the west already. Both teams are still in some serious 1st round battles. I will be routing for my man Sam & the wolves right long with the rest of you cats. But if you watched tonight's game it wasnt pretty. If I was t-wolves fans I would start worrying avout the adjustments that need to be made in beating the Nuggets. Like 1) Praying that Sam gets his shooting stroke back. And starts being aggressive against this bull**** double team that the Nuggets are throwing on him when he brings the ball up. 2)Stoping Earl Boykins. He is killing the Wolves right now. Somebody needs lock Sam Cassell & Darrick Martin in a room with some footage of their defense. And see ways to make adjustments because the guard pentration is killing the wolves right now. 3) KG needs to get in the post from the word go on tuesday. And stay there. The Wolves have to establish some type of post pressence. KG is the only one with the skills to be a pressence down low for the Wolves on offense. 4) hope the kandiman goes to see the wizard. And the wizard gives him a brain. Kandiman is making some of the dumbest fouls I have ever seen. Kandiman is the only player I know who turns his head away from the play when a guard is penetrating. 5)hope that Wally is ok after that crazy fall he took in the 4th. He go up & shot the free throws so thats a good sign. 6) What type of response will the big three come with on tuesday. They have offically been tested in the playoffs. Its time for them to man up. And respond like championship contenders, especially Sam. This is what he was brought to the wolves for, 10 pts & only taking 10 or 11 shots wont cut it.

At first I thought he hit KGs hand and it looked like KG dunked it in their goal. But Camby did dunk it. That was off the hook.

The Lakers, if they were to match up with the Wolves, would win in probably 7 games because the Wolves have homecourt. It should be a very entertaining next couple of weeks!
Well I dont know the Wolves are in some trouble. I just seen on TNT that Wally S. is out indefinitely. So now the Wolves go back to a problem that bothered them somewhat during the season a lack of scoring in their 2nd unit. Fred Hoiberg has got to now become their best shooter off the bench again. And its time for Kandiman to earn his pay check & provide a low post pressence, & some points. The Wolves could survive the loss of Hudson. But I dont know if they can survive Wally going down. Some wolves role players are going to have to really step their game up to surpport the Big Three. And the Big Three is going to have more load to carry then ever.
