I am glad the Timberwolves pulled it out. LA has had our number this year so I was worried what would happened tonight. Fortunately, LA has just rolled over for the year.

I did not think the Timberwolves played well tonight. There were times where they struggled offensively. The only guy that played well was Sammy tonight. Trenton and Michael did some good things especially on defense. Wally made shots when he had to. With that said, I look at this as the Lakers playing so badly. Timberwolves were begging the Lakers to beat them tonight or tie the game by coming back.

This is so sad for the Lakers. Lakers did not play hard. They did no go after loose balls or rebounds. They were not passing the ball well. Whenever a Laker had the ball, he was dribbling or shooting. There were no cohesion or chemistry within the team tonight. That was disgusting to watch if you were a Lakers fan.

What was even worse was when Kobe was smiling all night long. My god you are getting your rearends kicked yet you are smiling with the refs and with the other team. Somehow I don't see Shaq or KG doing the same thing. Heck Kobe did not seem to be bothered after this loss tonight in which his team quit again. As soon as the season is over, Kobe needs to look in the mirror and do some serious soul-searching about what he has to do to make himself and his team better. Whatever he is doing is not working. Kobe has no clue how to be a leader or how to make his teammates better. There is no trust within Kobe and his teammates and that's the big part of the Lakers problem right there.

The atmosphere at Staples Center was so dead. Probably the deadest ever since the opening of the arena. There was clearly no buzz. Marv Albert seemed sad at what has transpired with the Lakers while Steve Kerr seemed happy.

As a Timberwolves fan, I appreciated the generousity of the Lakers tonight. The Wolves needed this game and I thought they stunk.

Timberwolves gotta play a lot better tommorow night against Phoenix at Phoenix or this will be a huge blowout.

At times, the game seemed pretty boring. The key for the Lakers is they throw up too many outside shots, and most of the time, they miss them. I didn't get what was so funny, with Chucky and Kobe. Chucky makes two three's, come back, throws up another and misses, and him and Kobe laugh histerically about it? When your team is losing, I don't see what their is to laugh about. It was a very balances scoring night for the 'Wolves, with seven players scoring in double figures. This win puts us at five in a row now, which is great. Even if we lose to Pheonix, we do have one of the easiest remaining schedules with games against the Hawks, Hornets, Jazz, Warriors(we better not blow another lead to them). The bad thing is, is that we have games against Sonics, Spurs, Sactown, and Pheonix. One advantage, is that we do have a game against the Nuggets, which will be a must win for us.

That would be sweet. I don;t think we could beat the Suns though. There are the best team and the Wolves didn't play that good last night. I think this is where our winning streak ends.

Iam not for sure why everyone is so discouraged going into tonight's game coming off last night's victory. Granted the Wolves didnt play their A game. But they look last night how they look a decent amount of the time last season. Last year they won alot of games in the very same fashion, getting of to a slow start and then relying on their 2nd half execution particularly in the 4tyh quarter to pull out victories. I think the Wolves look decent considering the effort they got from Kandiman on the frontline. And on offense it was excellent ball movement at times, not alot of one on one, cuase thats when the Wolves get in trouble.

As for tonight's game I see no reason why they cant pull out a victory against the Suns. It all depends on how the Wolves come out early, they have to match Phoenix's energy. they cant let the fact they played last night effect their energy & have a lag over, cause the Suns are at their best when they can jump on a team early. But if the Wolves can whether the Suns intial storm early. And let the game come down to 4th quarter execution, KG & Cassell will find away to make the biug shots to pull outr the victory, imo.

This was one of the most boring games of the year. Both teams came out flat and the energy was terrible until the final 3 minutes from both teams. The TWolves pretty much coasted in this game and were fortunate the Lakers missed several wide open shots. I thought Trenton Hassell was the only guy hustling on the court. Sammy played well off the bench and Wally was money. Maybe the TWolves sensed the Lakers weren't going to give them much of a challenge, so they played a few knotches below their capability. I'm sure the TWolves were looking ahead to Phoenix and Sacramento instead. But you can't complain about 5 wins in a row. The TWolves are going to have to play a lot better if they have aspirations of beating those two teams. Also Amare said he will be back to face up against KG. These two games are huge for the TWolves, they need to at least split them. The TWolves are only two games back, but Memphis plays the Bucks and Lakers next, and the Nuggets play the Spurs (without Duncan) and Blazers next. Those 2 games could double to 4 by the end of the weekend if the TWolves don't step up.

"I think if you watched us tonight, you saw that we played hard," Bryant said. "We just didn't do it for 48 minutes."

I got this quote from Timberwolves/Lakers game recap from NBA.com today.

Is Kobe kidding me? Who is he exactly fooling? He couldn't believe that he and his team was playing hard. Bad enough that he ruined the team's season, but why insult everyone's intelligence particularly the fans who are forking up crazy money to see this horrible team call the Lakers. The Lakers did not play hard last night. They let the Timberwolves do whatever they want last night in LA and he has the gall to say that his team play hard.

Kobe needs to stop with the B.S. and start taking accountability of his team's demise. He needs to do something about it next season.

Shapecity and CUSA: I was bored out of mind. I watched this game last night with an lack of enthauism. I looked at this game as more of a scrimmage.

CUSA: I am glad the Timberwolves don't laugh it out or anything when they are missing shots. I was very stunned what Chucky and Kobe did last night. As for playing the tough teams, those are the one that worry me especially the final game of the year. I think the last playoff spot will come in the final game of the year and that's what I am worried about. I hope we can clinch it before the Spurs game.

Henacy: Why I was discouraged? The Timberwolves were missing shots and I did not like how they ran their offense at times last night. I was barking at the TV as the guys were turning the ball over and making stupid shots that was nowhere near close. It was decent, but that won't cut it against the great teams and all. Maybe it's me demanding a very good game.

Timberwolf, at least you only had to suffer through one half-assed attempt by the Lakers efforts on the court. I've only missed 3 games all season. It was embarrassing to see Chucky laugh about shooting 3 straight bricks. Then he goes to the bench and gets congradulated by Tierre Brown. Those two should join the Code Red Mountain Dew Streetball Tour, neither belong in the NBA.

Kobe Bryant sure does not know how to handle himself with the media. He needs to invest in some PR people, everytime he opens his mouth he gets blasted for saying something stupid. I love what Kobe does on the court and what he's meant for the franchise, I'm confident he can win a title, but off the court the kid needs a serious adjustment.

lost to the suns, and it's a shame cause we had the game in our hands all game long, we did the right things and didn't let them escape and even returned from 13 points down in the 2nd quarter...we had the lead 92-91 with a big griffin 3pt shot and never lead again...they bombed us with 3pt shots down the stretch and that's making me madd cause damn the game is in your hands.so what if it's a back to back, being close in enough? NO!
our deffense on the arc stunk every time, it's a real shame we don't have many games to get in to the 8th, and memphis winning tonight aint bringing good news while denver leads hurt spurs by 12 and it looks like they are up by 30 if you look at energy....

shapecity: Tickets are really expensive at Staples Center as you know. Fans and even celebrities that want to be seen are not going to be forking up that type of money watching a bad team let alone a team that is not going to play hard as you have been seeing lately.

Dr. Buss has a lot of work to do. I hear about how the Lakers want Phil Jackson back and how Dr. Buss's daughter wants to see it happen. What the Lakers should do is somehow get Jerry West back to run the franchise. He is probably the last hope and he is probably the only guy that can get Kobe's attention. For Kobe's own good as a person and a player, he really needs Jerry West. He needs someone who he can trust and listen and that guy is Jerry West. I don't think Kobe ever been the same on a personal level since West left.

As for that comment, Kobe can't go rip his teammates that they did not play hard because he himself didn't and he should have said write what you see whether or not the team played hard or not. I understand Kobe can't go say publicly how the team went through the motions, but to go lie to the public that they played hard in front of their home fans is not very good. I also noticed that he did not seem bothered about the loss in his press conference. That would bother the hell out of me and believe me I got on Latrell and Sam for being indifferent after losses this year.
