Timberwolves play three games on the road this week. The first stop is Dallas as they finish up the home-and-home series with the Mavericks. They have to play a lot better than they did on Sunday against Dallas or this will be a blowout. Hopefully, the Timberwolves find some energy and find a way to get it done tonight. They have to. They gotta win all those three games as tough as the task is. They have no choice or else they could be in a huge hole.

Timberwolves are expected to get Sammy, Michael Olowokandi, and Eddie back in this contest tonight. That's huge against a deep team like Dallas. Will those guys produce? That's a good question. You have to wonder how they will fare coming back from injury.

    Must-win week.

Im so stoked that the Twolves won tonight. I wasnt even expecting it. I think the key was that we won the rebound battle 54 - 41. In Eddies first game back he only scored 3 but had 8 rebounds in 15 minutes, which is great help on the boards. We are now only 1/2 game out of the 8th spot. But we cant be content yet cause the week isnt over..nor the season...

Im back posting after my weeks long hiatus [IMG]! sorry i dont get much T-wolves games so i cant really comment on them

Good win for us. i see hustle and effort tonight, and our backcourt was on one of their more efficient night. Hope we are able to make the push to the playoffs. the lakers losing tonight gives me renewed confidence we would be able to make it.

It was good to see the agressive Sam return tonight, that 3 in the 4th quarter was major. The Wolves are going to need some strong 4th quarters from Sammy here on out. I dont care if Sam starts again this year, probably wont. But there is no way Mchale can have Sammy sitting over on the bench coming down the stretch of games and the Wolves expect to make it in to the playoffs. Tommorrow is another big one, the Spurs are kind of banged up right now, Parker has mised sometime recently, Manu missed the last game. And Duncan missed the game last weekend vs Denver, so hopefully the Wolves can take advantage of the Spurs being beat up a bit, since this will be the 1st game in awhile that the Wolves are going to be healthier then their opponents, it seems like....

BIGGEST WIN OF THE YEAR BY FAR AND PROBABLY THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR BY THE TIMBERWOLVES!

That was huge. Huge! They needed that one and they got it. They got it done tonight. They set the tone very early when they had that very big lead to start the game and they did it again in the second quarter as they had that big run to start the second. Dallas made a run in the third quarter and to start the fourth, but fortunately for the Timberwolves, they made some big shots down the strech.

What a performance by KG! KG was fantastic. He took the bull on the horns and took care of business. He seemed motivated to atone from his bad performance Sunday afternoon and he took the matter into his own hands. He was all over the place as he scored from the paint and shot from long distance. He was phenomenal out there.

The point guards for the Timberwolves were at the top of the game. Troy and Sammy was fantastic out there. They were shooting pretty good. The ball went in for them tonight.

It was good to see everyone contribute and when everyone on the Timberwolves contribute whether it's on defense or offense, good things happen and that's what you saw tonight.

I had to admit I did not see this great start or a win coming from the Timberwolves. I hope they can save some of it for tommorow night which is also a must-win game against a very good Spurs team.

That is one of the reasons that I still have an appreciation for Cassell and wouldn't want to let him go as easily as Spree. Cassell plays a thinking mans game and is able to do the little subtleties that gets a score. I cannot fathom why they don't give him more post-up opportunities because he handles most points (guards) in the paint. I was watching how, even though Terry didn't want to give up position, how Sam was slightly pushing off to get Terry's momentum going backwards and hit the shot. Sam's play reminds me a little of Stockton and shows that vets know what they're doing.

Another thing I liked about the game down the stretch, and the commentator was noticing it also, that when Howard would double KG, that Wally was open. Down the stretch, the Wolves noticed this and KG started to pass directly to Wally out of the double team. It shows that they are learning to adapt to what the defense is doing and will give them.

Couple of things to add to my take on this game.

Michael Olowokandi was a presence in the paint and he had 8 rebounds. He was very solid. KG and McHale made it a point to praise him after the game.

In the Dallas/Minnesota matchup, did you know that the home team did not win any game. Dallas won their two games @ Minnesota and Minnesota won their two games (the first game at Dallas in November I believe was a steal) @ Dallas. That's strange especially since Dallas is a tough place to win with the fans being boisterous and all.
