<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">So, Laker fans, how are you enjoying these playoffs so far? Aside from sitting them out for the first time in more than a decade, and finishing behind the Clippers in the standings, and hearing about a Clipper winning the league's most-improved-player award, and reading about Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant wanting to make nice only 10 months after Shaq and the dynasty high-tailed it out of the barn, it really wouldn't be that tough to take. But then you go and turn on the television. On Monday on TNT, Magic Johnson watches Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady lift Houston to what was a 2-0 playoff series lead over Dallas and remarks, "It reminded me of myself and Kareem. We knew how to play off each other." Remember when Shaq and Kobe were supposed to remind Magic of Kareem and Magic?</div> Source
I honestly could care less bout Magic, his thoughts or TWac and Yowser. Magic has done alot for LA WHEN HE PLAYED, nothing more. As for the other 2.... they will never win a ring IMO so thats that. Magic needs to stop playing anaylist and worry about his stake in LA.
Yeah I agree, I love Magic Johnson, he's the reason I became a fan of the NBA and the Lakers. However, his comments as an analyst are crossing the line. He still has a stake in the team, and he needs to start doing some PR work to get players excited about playing for the Lakers.
Yeah I don't like some of the comments Magic has made about Kobe and the Lakers. But overall that isn't a real big deal.
I started following the Lakers during showtime as well. Magic being a big part of that. But yeah, I think he should watch what he says a bit more.
I think Magic just try's to be un-biased mostly when in his TNT role. But reguardless, Magic is easily top 5 greatest of all time, and partial owner of the most decorated franchise in NBA history....I know Magic's a buisness man and all wit his movie theaters and such, but the letters L A K E R S are priority #1..... lets get to it!
