    I personally think part of being a great 6th man is the ability to cover the starter when he is out and under that criteria, Simons is absolutely 6th Man of the Year. What do you guys think? Should he even qualify? If yes, who is his competition?

    Very little chance Simons improves that much. Of course he is also starting and could very well start more than 41 games this year.
    Unfortunately Simons isn't listed as a contender. I do agree he should at least be mentioned problem is he has got all those points as a starter not a sixth man.

    This is the problem with this thread and your whole premise-
    You can't just make the rules up as you go.

    He is doing what he is doing as a starter. As a 6th man he was mediocre at best. So no there is no argument to vote for him as a 6th man.
