Per Sportscenter, TMac is done for the season. I believe Stephen A. said he's going to have microfracture surgery on his left knee, but I could be wrong.
i think this is for the best. now the rockets no longer have the distraction of never really knowing whether tmac was going to play or not and what he was going to be able to bring on a night to night basis. i expect the rockets to still be a playoff team and if they do well enough, tmac probably comes into play in the offseason as an expiring contract to trade.
I'm gonna miss watching Tracy play. It's a shame the officials cheated the 05 Rockets out of a playoff series. I really wanted to see that team advance. If only Van Gundy tanked a little like the Kings, they would have faced a weaker Seattle team in an unbiased series. Sura quit, T-Mac quit, and the Rockets never really bounced back after that series. I really enjoyed watching that season. I thought it would only get better, but it was the peak of the Tracy, Yao duo.
Man I'm not buying this bullshit...........The organization isn't even backing him up on his statement..........Tmac released this to Stephen A.......shit like season ending injuries are usually announced by organizations........Truth is that She Mac knows his ass in on the trading block and he knows a season ending injury will keep teams away from him............yet another bitch move from Her She-ness...................
Trust me, this thought has crossed the mind of every Rockets fan. If it's true, what can you honestly do about it? You have a lazy $21 million player who likes to talk but never follows through. When the going gets tough, he quits.
I'm pretty sure he's got a legit injury dude. You don't bullshit about something like needing to have micro-fracture surgery just to not get traded. Who cares how the injury was announced. Maybe he wanted to get it out there quicker than what the organization would have been able to? You never know. However, to question whether a person has an injury of this magnitude is just stupid. I could understand you being pissed if maybe it was him faking being sick or something feasible like that, but you don't bullshit about needing micro-fracture surgery, it's far too serious. Beyond that, why would be bullshit something that could kill his value on the open market come 2010? It would make absolutely no sense to do that, because something like this will be a red flag come 2010, and that's not something he's going to want. You my friend, simply can't put your hatred of TMac aside.
Well, if TMac has micro-fracture surgery, he'll certainly be taking a good 8 months or so off. That's about as difficult of a surgery that there is to come back from, just ask Amar'e, cause he's about the only one that was ever really successful in his comeback from it. The big difference between Amar'e and TMac's situation though? Age. Amare was what, 22 or so when he had the surgery? He was still really young and didn't have a lot of mileage on his body at the time of surgery, making a comeback a littler easier since there wasn't nearly as much wear and tear. TMac though, turns 30 here soon I believe, and with his history of injuries, it could be more difficult for him to come back and be able to play at the level he was once able to.
