Dion Phaneuf - Basically a great trade to get arguably the best hitter and one of the best young defensemen in the NHL.

With Kovasnips going to NJ, it basically crushed my dream of him coming to Toronto.

We're not actually completely out of the playoffs, only 12 or 14 points back. With J.S and the Monster, I think we can make a run but we are hella weak up front. Burke is a go getter so I expect some big things in the next week or so.

    So, lets hear your thoughts...

What do you guys think about Kaberle as trade bait? I have a strong hunch that he'll be packaged with Mitchell to possibly grab some picks and hopefully some immediate help up front.

He gets what he wants we all know that

P.S. you have more posts than me you smug whore.

P.P.S - add something to the discussion, this isn't the Blazer forum.

P.P.P.S - Leafs vs. Devils we get a look at Kovasnips on a line with the second or third longest last name in the NHL. Gusta is in net, and I really hope Phaneuf puts Kovy on his ass 5-10 times.

Tough loss and what makes it tougher is that Brendan Burke died in a car accident last night. R.I.P Brendan Burke. For those of you who are newbs, that is our GM's youngest son. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Burke family.

I was kinda making a joke, in regards to newbs but yea, it's very sad. Also, I would assume this means he will be taking an extended leave of absence which means no trades most likely which is understandable.

On a different note, I really like how the Leafs are playing, even tho we're losing and last nights lose should have been a win, but Kovasnips had other plans.

Tonight we play the Sens and I know the Leafs will be playing with heavy hearts for Burke. I full expect a win 5-0 the final score. J.S. shut-out.

I understood it was a joke. The NHL season is long, theres still a chance to pull it all tighter and get into the playoffs. Your calling a 5-0 shutout? Good luck with the prediction.

Yea, we're not to far out and I'd love to see a 5-0 shut-out. 1. Because I hate the Sens 2. For Burke 3. I hate the Sens

A more realistic prediction is a 3-1 win. Giggy is coming off a shut-out he's got to be feeling confident so I have some faith in him. I don't think he'll have another goose egg, but he'll be solid.

good call there. I bet Dion is glad he's out of the Northwest division and doesn't have to face the Sedins like 6 times a year.

Bingo! PLUS it ended the 11 game win streak they were having.

My favorite players Philly Phil Kessel had a great game with 2 goals and 3 points, while Schenn netted a couple. J.S. right now on a 2 game win and shut-out streak, which is beautiful. Makes Burke look like a genius.

I'd like to hope Ron Wilson will be smart and start Giggy against the Sharks tomorrow. However, it'll be one hell of a tough game. But, if they keep playing the way they're playing, a win is very possible.
