    ...in addition to seeing the movie, anybody else read the book?

    ...I seem to remember that Hooper nailed Brodie's wife in the book version.

    Correct and Hooper dies at the end of the book as well. In fact the book gets downright trashy.

    Nah, I didn't read the book. I did take the Universal Studios Tram Tour, in the very early 80s. Had my 3 yr old Niece sitting in my lap comfortable and content; when the Tram drove over the waters bridge, then stopped altogether; as the ride appears to have the bridge break, then sink a couple feet.

    While the Tram is Sitting on the bridge of their small lake (small pond), side of the Tram, the bridge gives, and just then, Jaws is mechanically propelled to come shooting out of the water, right within 3 feet of the Tram. My Niece being too young to know better, Screamed holy hell, jumped out of my lap, did a 180 in the air, and stuck the perfect landing, now facing me, and holding on to my neck for dear life.......

    Scared the shit literally right out of her too.....that's when I handed her back to Mom.........

    Whenever all time GREAT Yankee and any other teams are discussed and compared statistically and for pure "greatness" accomplishments, it's always a good idea to revisit perhaps - probably the most underappreciated Greatest most overlooked team in MLB history -
    1939 Yankees. 106-45
    Swept the WS.
    Lead league in Runs, HRs, OBP, SLG%, OPS
    Lead league in ERA, WHIP, Shutouts
    Best Home record, best Road record.
    Best W-L record vs LHP and RHP
    53-22 in the first half, 53- 23 in the 2nd half- each best.

    Run Differential: +411
