I think it's safe to say that the Nets are headed to a first round exit. The Nets has played way below par all season and to hope for a turn around come playoff time, would be asking for a little less than a miracle. So what's in store for the Nets next season? Rebuliding is certainly not far. But if not, what move's are to be made this off-season? What would you guys do if you were the Nets GM? I think we still have a run or two left. But it may hinder plans for the long run (or maybe not). I'd go with what's proven. Keep Kidd and give him the big man he needs down low. With that in mind, I'd put Carter or Jefferson and fillers like Collins, Boone, Adams and maybe draft picks for a Garnett. I'm looking for a quick run in the next 2 seasons. I would probably keep RJ for two reasons: 1. Carter would be a better bait than him. 2. Jefferson still has room to improve and will be one of the corner stones of the franchise. I'd look for a spot up shooter. The Nets is in need of a player to kick out to in the perimeter aside from House. I would have Kidd (PG), Nachbar (SG), Jefferson (SF), Krstic © and hopefully Garnett (PF) as the starters. I'll have Moore, Williams, House, Wright and Jaric (from Minnesota) coming off the bench. Jefferson and Nachbar can and will be able to fill Carter's spot. Both can shoot and run the break with Kidd. Garnett will be the Nets legitimate rebounder and will be a receipent of a lot of Kidd passes. The Nets will finally have a low post presence. The bench will be as strong as ever with House, Wright and Jaric providing instant offense. While Mikki Moore will fill up the 4 and 5 positions along with uncle Cliffy. Jason Kidd will (of course) still be the leader of the team. I think this roster will have a strong push for an NBA title.
