Indeed that is the question that comes to mind for me. Do you really want to see the 'Wolves win and make it to the playoffs and make McHale look good? Or do you want the 'Wolves to lose and see McHale fired. I know, it may seem wrong to want to the team to lose, but if you agree with that opinion, than I can kind of see what your saying.

My opinion, I would like to see them win. As much as I want to see McHale go, I want to see this win. So what if we make it into the playoffs but have an early exit, it would be nice just to see us getting there. No doubt, we are the biggest dissapointment this season, but I would hate to see the team lose. But, if you think otherwise, I can see where your coming from. The season has been a waste thus far. Many disagree with the fact that McHale is still here and Flip is not and they may want to see McHale gone. He hasn't made the best decisions here.

    Let's here your opinion.

As a Laker fan I want them to lose. As a TWolve fan I would want the team to win as much as possible. When a team starts winning, all the chemistry problems tend to take care of themselves. Players stop focusing on their personal needs and start focusing on the games and what they can do to win them. Last year the TWolves made it all the way to the WCF. Once they get healthy, this team will actually be better than the team from last season. A lot of other teams in the West have improved, but the TWolves have a playoff experience edge and have learned how to close out a series. Kevin Garnett has the talent to carry this team deep into the post-season on his shoulders. He is the perfect weapon against a Tim Duncan or Amare Stoudamire, and gives the TWolves a great chance in a 7 game series.

If the TWolves don't make it to the post-season, then look for them to dismantle this squad and rebuild. Rebuilding takes a long time to do, and will be especially hard for the TWolves, because they don't have salary cap space to maneuver around and bring in marquee free agents.

You never not try to make the playoffs, just to get a guy fired. Even if the Wolves do make the playoffs owner Glen Taylor is going to do some serious evalutions of what exactly went wrong this year. And when he does that the poor construction of this team will surface. And Mchale will have to be the one responsible for answering those question. But in short, yes of course the Wolves try to get in because guys on this team know how to win as lower seeds. Cassell was a major factor in the Rockets winning a chip in 95' as a lower seed. And Sprewell was the best player in the playoffs for the 99' Knicks, when they made the finals from the 8th seed. So guys know how to gather that energy it will take to pull off some playoff upsets. So for that reason you easily shoot to make the playoffs until you are absolutely done.

if we are mailing in the rest of the season are we better off to lose more games and get a higher draft pick by not making the play offs? I know the draft this year is suppose to be down a bit...but the higher the draft supposely the better the player you can get. Just another angle to look at cause right now if we do slide into the 8th playoff spot we will probally be playing the SPURS or the SUNS neither team would be fun to play in the 1st round

As a fan, you never want your team to lose games. Getting a better draft pick won't fix any of the current problems. Drafting a young player usually means, you will have to wait a couple of years until he can produce for the team because aren't many NBA ready players. There are mostly players with uncertain potential.

If the team makes the postseason as a lower seed, they have the talent and the players to go deep in the playoffs. The chemistry is the main problem with this team. If they start to win more games, the players will start to get excited about the idea of winning a championship and will start to play better as a team. That way the chemistry could improve enough that they can play great basketball together and hopefully win some games in the playoffs.

And I know Mchale isn't that great but we have to give him a chance to prove himself. Losing just to get him fired isn't the way to help the team improve.

I think that the question of winning or losing aint about making the new coach look better,no one cares about that the wolves just want to get back to where they used to be-at the top.

and doing that has both ways now cause we lost so many w can either lose miss the playoff let our guys rest,trade/get rid of the oldies(witch don't seem like going to happen this year) and come fresh to make a champin performance the next year.

other way is fight our lives out, push the lakers and get into the 8th seed and what ever goes,goes...who know what we can do once we are in there, maybe we cand do history and kill a 1st place seed if it will be the suns it's possible...

Good question, CUSA. I am ambivalent on this. If they win, great. If they lose, that's fine too because that would mean McHale is gone. If the Wolves want to go to the playoffs, I hope they win the Northwest because I sure as heck don't want to play the Spurs in the first round. There is still time to win the divison, but they better win against the Cavs and then go on 10-game winning streak after the All-Star break. I think we will figure out then if the season is worth redeeming.

Now if you put a gun to my head and force me to answer this question, I have to say I want this team to win.
