* It's Fan Day! Get there!* Saturday, August 27, is just one week ahead of the big season opener for the Oregon Ducks, and it's the date for the 2011 edition of Fan Day. Duck fans from around the region can head to Eugene to meet the players, get autographs, see the cheerleaders, and buy Ducks' gear. It's a great chance to bring the kids down for a fun afternoon. Festivities are slated to begin at Noon and will feature activities like ball toss, a kicking station, an obstacle course, a blocking station, and a place to "get in gear." The team will be split into two groups, with the first coming in from Noon 'til 1pm and the second from 1pm up until 2pm. The first 1000 kids (age 12 and under) through the door will get a Duck wristband. After the amazing run Oregon had last year and the hype leading up to the Cowboys Classic September 3 against the LSU Tigers, expect a record crowd at Fan Fay. Parking can be found in the east lot at Autzen Stadium. Entry 5 will open at 11am. Fan Day will be held in the Moshofsky Center, next to Autzen. rivals.com
Thanks, man. We live on Jersey Shore so we left the area and are in Camden. My family is staying up here, but I work in Homeland Security and have to report tomorrow for emergency response. We'll see how that goes, LOL. Go Ducks!!
I'll message you my email. If you're serious, send your resume my way. I probably can't help much as I'm not in HR/recruiting/hiring panel -- but, you never know. It's crazy these days. My dept. used to pay a hiring bonuses to recruit talent and still might see 50 applications (tops) for openings. Last few we've had the openings were closed after one day when nearly 1000. It's tough.... I'm a bit older with some tenure/experience, but sure do feel bad for the younger generation who is starting out. Best advice for someone wanting to be in this field is to take terrorism prevention courses, learn a second language and consider a short stint in the military. Border patrol and airport security aren't bad ways to get some experience before moving on to different depts.
