http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/9067132/Sources:-Colts-coach-Dungy-is-stepping-down Good morning huevon.
Our defense did not look good two straight years in the playoffs (07 and 08), and that's all he has to worry about since he doesn't even handle the offense. We lost half a coach. He's a great guy but as a coach he also made the wrong decision to rest us for a month in 2005. If his heart is not in it I don't want him to be the coach. Good luck to him in his other ventures.
At the end of the day, Bill Polian will still remain the most important part of that franchise. He'll keep that coaching staff running as effectively as always and he'll continue to bring in solid young talent.
and Manning will always be a playoff choker minus his one super bowl year. It's a damn shame, because with his talent he should have three rings by now. Dungy has had an awesome career, he was good in Tampa and great in Indy. He always had his team in contention and always a Super Bowl threat. It is nice to see him return to family life. I hope he enjoys it.
Dungy is a choker, Manning was the only one who carved up the Chargers last year and had to deal with Kenton Keith and Marvin Harrison causing turnovers in the Red Zone that the Chargers deserve zero credit for. You got all the breaks last year but I kept quiet out of respect. Manning was the only one that showed up for us last year, and this year? We had no running game and got lucky Sproles fumbled. Our D sucked again. Mamba that is a joke.
Stats don't mean shit. Rings, son, rings. Manning - 1 Roethlisberger - 1 Brady - 3 Rivers - 0 :[ Even I can make fun of my guy :]
I could only imagine how much better Brady's stats would be if he played inside a dome 9+ times a year. Good thing stats mean nothing.
I don't know, Manning didn't have the chance to play with a guy who caught 23 TDs in one season. It sure didn't look like Brady made Welker better after seeing what Cassel did with him either. Same goes for Donte Stallworth and Gaffney. ^_^ Most valuable player ever gets injured and you still win 11 games? I could only imagine how many Qbs would score more than 14 points with the greatest offense of all time on a neutral field in the Superbowl.
Brady played with Moss and Welker for one year. Go look at all the pathetic receivers he had before them. That's a pretty stupid argument. As for winning 11 games with Cassel, take a look at the incredibly easy schedule they had. Brady would have won 14 games this year, or more. And here's the answer to your last statement: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=240118017 http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200301040nyj.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200501160nwe.htm http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/200601150clt.htm
I don't see your point, I think Brady's a great QB I am just not in love with him as the GOAT. Pats games: Brady didn't tear the Colts up, it is a team game. Oh and let's not forget that 18 point comeback beauty in 2006, Peyton's never let a lead like that slip. Manning also outplayed Brady in the 2007 post-season, which was my point. :] Moss has the GOAT-like numbers with pretty much every QB. Not at all, Brady played poorly in his last two games in the 2007 post-season, why should he receive credit for those games? Indeed the Pats won 14 games in 2003/2004 because of their superior defense, they certainly didn't have a better offense overall those years. The game manager point is valid, just like Peyton failing early on is valid. Peyton's game against the Chargers was nothing short of amazing, he didn't have Harrison or a running game, and had two tipped interceptions by Wayne and Keith. And a fumble by Harrison in the redzone otherwise it was one of the greatest performances I've seen by him carrying us; considering that Billy Volek replaced Rivers and was driving down the field two times against our sad defensive schemes.
I don't see your point, that's what my point is. I guess what it comes down to is: when Brady wins, it's a team effort...when Peyton wins, he's doing it all by himself. And it isn't even worth discussing this with somebody who ignores all the atrocious performance's by a QB and pulls out a few decent ones he's had to rebut them. Or somebody who thinks a guy who failed to make it to the conference championship can outplay a guy who made it to the Super Bowl. Bottom line is, Peyton has failed way more often than he has succeeded. Brady has made a career out of being efficient and clutch in big games.
Again, all you say is "Brady rides the rest of his team to victory, Manning only fails because the rest of his teams suck" in different words.
Of those 4, Ben is the only one still alive. ahah. Okay I'm done. He's not near any of the other ones, but he doesn't need to be. I'm not picking between Manning and Brady. I'll take both.
