Could be a non-story, but I thought it was worth mentioning. During his interview on 95.5, Batum actually brought up the fact that he talked to Parker (just general talk), and that Parker inquired about the city, and the Blazers.
What else would they talk about? In this order. What kind of birds are you pulling? What car do you drive? Oh, btw, what's it like where you play basketball. Were you all under the impression they would talk about the best schools in each others areas? Fuck sake.

Nic said that Parker and he talked yesterday and that Parker said that he had been hearing about possibly being traded to Portland and then he asked Nic how he liked the town. May be nothing more than that to it, but it's definitely worth a trhead.

I was stunned when I heard that segment this evening and from the way Nic made it sound, it definitely wasn't just casual talk. Batum said that Parker called him up and specifically asked about the city and the organization because he was hearing possible rumors of him being traded to Portland.
