The more i see this guy play the more its evident that hes the real deal... he plays so much like a young brett farve and cowboys fan should be happy they have finally found there star qb... the best part is he was an undrafted player....

Tony Romo puts up huge numbers against the bad teams....but his short history is that he stinks against the good teams....if your QB is putting up gigantic numbers when he plays bad teams and horrid numbers when he plays good teams, you can look forward to a lot of frustration....

I think it's too early to call Tony Romo the real deal, but he did play a great game today. I just hope people don't keep hanging the Favre comparisons on him. He hasn't earned them yet. I think it will just build resentment toward him. Besides, it isn't fair to Tony Romo. He seems like a nice kid and he should be allowed to carve out his own identity.

trust me im not one of those fans who is unrealistic... the guy can play... he definately has the talent... you look at a guy like Losman who was drafted relatively high and he just doesnt have the tools... he will be in the same class as a harrington... Romo made the pro bowl, almost brought the nfc a comeback win.... won the qb challenge that weekend.... if he didnt muff that fg he would have won a playoff game... the guy has 12 carreer starts and already plays better than most highly touted rookies... im just lookin for honest opinions... not 2 get flamed... in no way am i saying hes the next brett farve but, he has that same excitement and swagger.

he will be tested next week against the bears...

Yeah I obviously have great confidence in Romo, but I think accurate statements about the longevity of his career (especially comparing him to Favre) will have to wait until after the Bears game.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm a huge fan of Tony Romo. I don't care what people say, I do think he's the real deal. He's got all the intangibles to be a great QB in this league. The thing I like most about him though is the fact that he's got a short term memory. He could have easily let the botched snap haunt him this season, but he hasn't. He's played brilliantly so far this year and he's a huge reason why Dallas is off to a 2-0 start. Without him, I don't know if Dallas has this kind of success.

Last season Tony Romo threw 19 TDs and 13 interceptions....against teams with a losing record he threw 15 Tds and 3 Ints....against teams with a winning record he threw 4 TDs and 10 Ints....this season hes played 2 teams that I believe will have losing records....lets hold off in ordering his Canton bust

Of course, lets not get carried away... he still has ALOT 2 prove but... compare him to other first year/young Qb's

Losman, Carr, Harrington, Frye, Smith, Shaub, Eli Manning, Simms, Boller, Cutler, Campbell, Grossman...

I think he has pretty solid numbers for a 10 game starter

my point is that the numbers are misleading because of what he did to bad teams....if you want to tout his skills, ok, but dont use the numbers because the numbers are not good once you factor in the competition and how polar his performances have been based on how good the opponent is....

ya i tottaly understand what your saying... and i agree with u... but what about other young qb's that have played bad teams... i dont think there numbers/over season statsare as solid in a 10 game span... Im not sure what your team is but as a cowboy fan its been a long time since weve had a qb wit the potential to be something... especially for an undrafted player... Romo has his flaws yeslike makingimpulse throws and not protecting the ball when scrambling etc... and not even takin numbers into consideration... wachin him play he has the intangibles.. good pocket presense.. will run when needed... i was just lookin for poeples personal opinions wthout gettin flamed...

if you like the guy why if you dont why... thats all...

Romo is solid this year, but stop comparing him to rookies or sophomores, the guy had a few years to study the game. He's 27.

Romo is a very good qb. You dont get a 98 qb rating and lead your team to the playoffs as a fluke and then follow up the next season torching two above average defenses in NY and MIA on the road. I'd say hes right where philip rivers is.

He wont get tested vs bears. He will get exposed as the fraud in dallas. honest opinion is he is going to do good vs bad teams and bad vs good teams. his performance will trail off at the end of seasons cuz his body isnt built to take the pounding, and if he loses another weapon (which he has a lot of now) then his production will drop since he is mostly a product of 2 great recieving threats and a good running game.

Yeah, the Giants are pretty unimpressive defensively. Favre carved them up like a roast yesterday.

Antonio Pierce,Michael Strahan,Umienyora(injured),Gibril Wilson,Sam Madison, aaron ross and kawika mitchell are all good defensive players. they might not be executing well but they arent a bad defensive team.

Yeah, they've got big names, but they are giving up 40 points per game over the first 2 weeks. Until they can take the 'good defense' reputation off paper and put it onto the field, they are a bad defensive team.

They are still a good defnse they just arent playing to potential so far this season. Lets face it the giants arent going far this year and coughlin is already halfway out the door.
