The topic pretty much explains itself. Who are the top 10 players in the NBA from Europe?1. Dirk Nowitzki2. Pau Gasol3. Andrei Kirilenko4. Tony Parker5. Mehmet Okur6. Zydrunas Ilgauskas7. Nenad Krstic8. Boris Diaw9. Peja Stojakovic10. Andris BiedrinsI may have forgotten someone. If Peja was healthy, he would probably be higher up...In a year or two, Andrea will be up there for sure :winkglasses:
Vlade Divac should be 5th or 6th...I like that guy you put at #2 :winkglasses: I think he'll be number one when all set and done.

In the end I don't think Pau will ever be able to be mentioned the same as Dirk, Dirk made it possible for people like Pau to play in the NBA and when it's all said and done I don't think any player will take that position from him.
how did dirk make it possible for people like pau to play in the nba, its not like he was the first european player to play in the NBA.
True, but he basically widened the path. Like since he was a euro player and he's such a great one at that it made the GM's want to look more into Europe and countrys over there because they want to find the next Dirk.
I agree Pau will never be mentioned with Dirk, as good as Gasol is, Dirk is just a better player than Pau Gasol will ever be. Right now, Dirk is on a completely different level than any of those european players. Saint Baller was on the right track, he might not have been the one that started the trend of looking for european players, but he is the one that really got the scouts looking for european 7 footer's roaming the wings and shooting threes. Just think about how many times we have heard "he is going to be the next Dirk Nowitzki." So your right, there was european players before Dirk, but he is the one that got it the most popular to start looking in Europe.

Ever since his 16 PPG, 8 RPG year, he is been on the decline, now averaging 9 points, 5 rebounds, on 32 MINUTES One might say he is a good shotblocker, how about his number 11th tying, 3.1 fouls a game. Then again, people say he steals a lot per game, so far he averages under 1. And then how about his nice 34 % 3 pt shooting a couple years back, so far he has dipped to 29%, im sorry but AK47 is way way overrated.
Im just saying, Dirk is in prime, Pau Gasol is barely hitting his. Pau passes, blocks and arguebly a better rebounder. And I know this doesn't happen all the time with Pau, but he hit 2 three's the other day in a game. they're different players, but we'll see what happens. But as of right now, Dirk is the best european player.

You think points and rebounds are the only things that matter in the NBA. You're mistaken. You need to watch some NBA games, man. AK does everything. He's a very good defender, rebounder, shot blocker, stealer; hell, even passer. He just came off an injury, so his ppg numbers should go up when he gets into a groove again.
AK47 is the most veristle player in the NBA.....only problem with him is hes injury prone. He doesn't score as much cause he can let Deron Williams, Boozer and Okur score and be productive....hes still very capable of getting 17ppg.

Like what? Dirk can do everything Pau can do on offense better and rebound just as well, Dirk's defense is greatly underrated and if you pull that card you don't watch basketball.Fact is Dirk Nowitzki >>>> Pau Gasol till they die.

I'm not a Grizzly or Maverick fan, and I agree with Saint Baller.
