HEre's my top 10 teams after 5 weeks 1. Patriots until someone beats them, they will be No 1 2. Eagles The only team to win each of their games by 10 points or more. 3. Colts If it were not for untimely turnovers (game 1), they'd be undefeated too. 4. Jets The only other undefeated team. Penington is playing great, very balanced team 5. Seahawks Good teams do not give up 17 point leads, other then that they are solid top to bottom. Too many dropped passed though 6. Broncos I love the combo of the D and O, if Jake plays well they can shake things up in AFC 7. Vikings If the Defense was just a tab better, this team would be very good. But the sieve of a D will hold them back in the end. 8. Steelers Good Running Game, if rothlesberger continues not to make mistakes, this could be a very good team down the stretch 9. Atlanta Some may say this is way too low. I just think that this team is winning with smoke and mirrors. They are like last years Minnesota, 8-8 or 9-7 at best 10. Baltimore/San Diego If Boller didnt suck this bad, the Ravens would be much...much higher. LT and Drew are a forming quite a team, maybe drafting Phillip Rivers was a mistake. Should have gotten Roy Williams or Larry. You are all welcome to argue with my picks.
I love the fact that the Steelers get to play #1, #2, and #4 on your list. It will be a nice measuring stick on the season's progress.

I'm not a believer on this one yet. Otherwise, you did pretty well E4L. I'd probably throw some others in there at the bottom, but you explained your reasonings pretty good. I don't know if the Jets are #4, but they are sure playing like it now.
i agree with Cowboy... way too high... i agree w/ most of the picks also. it will be a good test to see how the Pats handle the Seahawks and Jets, then well see if theyre really #1
One thing I noticed while doing this list. The AFC is a much tougher conference then NFC is right now. In the AFC half the team will have a chance to make the playoffs, in the NFC the 6 teams will be all but determined by week 11.
1-Eagles-what the pats have done was mostly last year, for the most part they havent won impressively this year like the Eagles. Eagles have won everygame THIS YEAR big 2-Colts-Outplay every team even the pats, but just cant beat them 3-Pats-Struggled against the Cardinals, Colts but beat the Dolphins handidly. 4-D started out hot, but is now comming down to earth 5-Jets-so far flying under the radar 6-I agree with E4L, cant say much more 7-Vikings, Cullpepper is hot, Randy is Hot, and with a better D, they might be the best team in the NFC 8-Atalanta- Youve got to give credit when credit is due, Mike Vick is a great player, and hes winning, Mora is a D minded coach, so its not like that D is a fluke 9-Steelers-I was wrong about Duce, but i dont think Roth can keep playing that good as a rookie 10-Lions/Giants-suprisingly good, have been good so far and only losses came against the top team on my list go ahead and rip my top 2. Pats sucess and most of the hype is over the span of the last 2years, I look at this season, and this season alone.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Eagles4Life)</div><div class='quotemain'>in the NFC the 6 teams will be all but determined by week 11.</div> Lets put a bet on this, i will bet at least 10 teams will be within 2 games of the wildcard at the end of week 11 in the NFC. We will be our tag lines. What do you say?
HEre's my top 10 teams after 5 weeks 1. Patriots They've broke the record for most consecutive wins. I'm sold. 2. Eagles T. Owens might be the answer to the Super Bowl. 3. Colts This team is not far behind the Pats, an unlucky lost in week 1 is still hanging over their heads 4. Jets I still think they'll be the team to beat the Pats. 5. Seahawks A tough loss at home will brings this team a little closer. 6. Vikings This team is about as good as any of the 5 in front. Maybe better. 7. Atlanta I'm sold on Michael Vick. He's a very competitive athlete that gives any team a run for it's money. 8. Broncos If this team can keep their momentum going i believe they have a shot at the big game. 9. Steelers I'm really liking the fact that a young Q has got this team on a roll. But, i still give them another year or two. Definitely playoff bound though. 10.Giants Giantfan just for you. I still think that K. Warner has some fire left in him. And for some odd reason, T. Barber has been outstanding. I'm speechless. Runner ups - Detroit, Houston, Jacksonville, Green Bay, St. Louis

The important thing is now everyone knows you are saying these things for shock value and they are not based on fact, like eagles are best team, mcnabb is MVP, TO is a great reciever.
Dude, you need to relax. What I was saying is that the NFC does not have a lot of contenders to the playoffs compared with the AFC. There might only be 1 or 2 teams that will be close to the wildcards. I did exagerate a bit, let it go.
The AFC definitely has more good teams then the NFC. But I will say that Detroit and New York have been a big surprise and if they continue to play at the level they've been playing, the NFC could get very interesting in December.

eagles, SD at 10 is way way to high, they are on a hot streak but they went 2-0 or 3-0 last season i think. O bleed i love ur statement on the Jets beating the Pats lets hope so that would be huge for the Jets, to show they could beat one of the best teams in the NFl and they will be ahead in the division if they both win next game, which i predict they will

EVERYONE else has either 1, 3, or 4 wins in the AFC the only division that is running away with itself is the East... 4-0, 4-0, 0-4, 0-5 other than that the AFC is really close. its not that they have better teams, they are just closer together, thats why they are gonna have more teams contending for the [playoff spot
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Philly_Freak93)</div><div class='quotemain'>hahaha i go 7 posts without being recogonized</div> Your are getting smarter at your very young old age. You arent quite as over the top. You are starting to realize the eagles are good, but could be better.
yea im just busy alot now, thats why im not postin as frequent, but i just said the eagles are the best team in 2004 so far. u cannot aruge that, theyve beaten the 3-1Lions 4-1GIants 4-1Vikings 1-3Bears they gave tthe other leaders of the NFC their only loss
the bears may be 1-3.... but theyre in every game... so all 4 games wre tough and we still won bye 10+
