1. Nique 2. Jordan 3. Vincanity 4. J-Rich 5. Amare Didn't see Dr. J, so he is excluded due to me not watching the NBA before 1987.
1. Vince Carter (previously known as "Air Canada"...*cough*) 2. Michael Jordan 3. Kobe Bryant 4. Dominique Wilkins 5. Dr. J
Dr.J and Nique are overrated in my opinion. Nique can do windmills...but Vince and J-Rich can both do it better. Dr.J can really jump...but couldn't do much. An underrated dunker would be Mason because he's just about better than Kobe, T-Mac, Stevie, Nique and a lot of other dunkers. Josh Smith should be in everyones top 5. 1. Vince (I wanted to put him lower but he keeps impressing me. Jumping over Weis and Duncan just did it for me.) 2. J-Rich (3 time champ in my eyes. Vince can do all the dunks he has but the difference is that Vince's dunks are much smoother.) 3. MJ (Has he ever done a 360? Anyways we have all seen his dunks, free throw line double clutch, rock the baby/crade and many other creative dunks.) 4. Josh Smith (Wow, this guy can dunk...we all saw the dunk contest.) 5. Dr. J (Native contest dunker, started the free-throw line dunk, and has done it the best. Gets up higher than almost every player whos ever been in the NBA.) *6. Desmond Mason (I would put him higher because he can do more dunks than Dr.J but Dr.J deserves a top 5 spot, and I dont think many of you know that D-Mase was never supposed to walk again after an accident when he was in high school or something.)
^We don't know if Josh Smith is going to be one of the best dunkers of all time yet! He could totally stop being a good dunker or something. He's a rookie. After he's played for a few years then we can judge.
<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nique can do windmills...but Vince and J-Rich can both do it better</div> what? you obviousl haven't watched Nique enough. OK, maybe your too young to remember and watch Nique, but don't say something until you know the whole story. Nique basically created the windmill. Vince's windmills could be considered "as good", but better? c'mon. And JRich? he is a great dunker, no doubt, but he has never dunked on guys the way Wilkins did, nor could he even be put in the same sentence as Nique with power and windmills. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Gets up higher than almost every player whos ever been in the NBA</div> not going to bash you for this one, but there are a lot of players who can get higher than him. Overall, your list isn't bad but J-Rich is wayyy too high along with Josh Smith.

Nique would NEVER win a dunk contest against the NBA's best today.
hmmm <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Tesh15:</div><div class="quote_post">clearly Vince Carter best dunker of all time. His 1st dunk was in 6th grade!</div> why does how early he dunked have to do with how good a dunker he is? He is the most overrated dunker of all time
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting JWohl:</div><div class="quote_post">why does how early he dunked have to do with how good a dunker he is? He is the most overrated dunker of all time</div> Are you kidding me? Vince dunks better than any other NBA player I've ever seen. Period. He is not overrated. Just because he can't dunk as well as he could years ago doesn't mean he sucks. Come on. The dunk at the Olympics, the dunk contest, the countless dunks over the years..you just can't compete with him. You might think other dunkers are more creative but everyone knows that he's the most skilled out of them all. I'm not biased - believe me, I hate Vince right now more than anything. But I have to admit he was pretty damn good..
COme on guys learn your history. Not one of you has the great David "SkyWalker" Thompson on their list. What is this world coming to? IMO he is the second best dunker of all time, behind Jordan. My list would have to look like: 1. MJ- Not only the best player of all time but the best dunker of all time. Who else's dunking sillhouette graises the feets of million's of followers who just want to be like Mike? From his foul line dunk to his amazing alley-oops he is the personification of a dunker. 2. David Thompson- With a 40+ inch vertical and a 6'4 frame he skied over opposing players. Thompson is well known for making the 360 dunk what it is now. A slam dunk contest must have. He may forever be remember for what could have been, but no one can deny the flair and intensity he had when going to the hoop. He has posterized his fair share of big men, and schooled a number of little men, which solidifies his spot as the second best dunker of all time. 3. Dr.J- Mr. Julius Erving will forever be known for the first man to fly. He will always be known for soring from the foul line to throw it down with authority in the 75-76' All-Star game. HE threw down numerous amazing dunks in his lifetime taking the spot at #3. 4. Dominique Wilkins- The master of the windmill, and throwing it down with power. No one made the rim rock like he did, and that's why he's my pick for the 4th best dunker ever. Your jaw drops when you see him throw it down reverse style. He was the first one to do an off the backboard alley-oop in a dunk contest. 5. Vince Carter- No one had ever seen someone catch an alleyoop in the ai and put it through their les before VC did it. Sticking his arm in the rim, jumping over a seven footer, jumping from just inside the foul line with two hands, and many more memorable moments highlight his dunking career. Under rated dunkers: Larry Nance, Ronnie Fields, Ronald Curry, James White, and others
coz i've never seen former player dunked, so i just want to rank top 5 best dunkers for current player 1.VC 2.J-rich 3.Kobe 4.Desmond Mason 5.others...(franchise, t-mac, josh smith, etc)
