We did it boys, We got to the final and nobody could of imagined it especially how we started the season, Anything can happy especially with a top tier goalie in this league, Enclosed is my 5 reasons how i believe we got it, feel free to state your list so we can debate. In order

    1. Has to be Hank, he has been our backbone, the fact that he does so good under pressure makes everybody else at ease. He is the rangers, we wouldn't be here without him. If hank is playing for pitts, philly, etc the rangers would be no where. He is a beast and we play our best with him in net.

    2. 4 Lines scoring. Who would of thought that the same group (pretty much) from last year who couldn't score can now score all 4 lines, they have all stepped up every line, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. line all have had big games. Its clear as day that zucc line is the best especially cycling and moving the puck but all of them have scored big goals here. Good stuff.

    3. Boyle, as much as i have to eat these words hes fitting nicely on this team, boyle is not a third line scorer, hes a 4th line center that with the right players can create offense and play good D. He plays key minutes on special teams and does all the dirty work. He is playing hard, physical and winning faceoffs. Can't ask anymore, every team needs one of those guys.

4- Haglin- zucc- MSL- These 3 players pretty much carried our team on O. hagelin playing best hockey of his life, pretty good for third line center. hes fast and has a good shot, zucc, can't believe what this player has turned into, wow thank god we got him back, torts dont know how to use him thats his fault. MSL, self explanatory. Amazing trade for sather. Steal, screw the first round picks. He is amazing and has leadership skills and been to the cup before. This team is better with him.

    5. The PP, Now i know earlier this post season we went through a slump but thats not a bad thing. 3 prior teams to go 0-40 on the PP streak gave won the cup, (bruins, kings, hawks). Its been effective against MTL and end of pitt, AV finally figured out if your line is doing well just put them out there for the PP. Its definitly a threat and must be respected. I give credit to AV for figuring it out. MCD on PP is a must. Good stuff

i left couple things out that some could argue, AV, MCD, defense, etc but i feel these things 1-5 are the reason we are here. Good stuff rangers its a awesome feeling.

If they can get a 3rd year out of St. Louis it will really add value to the trade, not that a year and a half wasnt worth it. I figure he'll be pretty open to a 1-2 extension and should play at a solid level till 41/42.

got 2 throw a big shout out to glen sather for putting it all together....

listen, during the course of the season, at times, we all posted out of frustration, negativity, reverse jinx, posted superstitiously, whatever we had to do as rangers fans, cause we all know it ain't easy being 1... but the 1 thing i now have to admit that i was just plain wrong about. First , to be honest i did not know the story of D. Moore, about his loss. When i had heard we got him back i was like Y???? a 2nd time???? never thought much of him when he as here the 1st round, but this kid had a tremendous year, so happy for him, and st louis for being the men they are! they have inspired all new yorkers, fans across the globe, the rangers are a great story.

DESTINY, is the reason we r here!

I went over this in a previous thread. Here's the last word why we are were we are. 1. AV. 2. replacing Biron with Talbot. 3. The acquisition of Marty St. Louis, Dominic Moore, Kevin Kline and Diaz ( No more Del Zotto !!!!!! ) 5. The maturation of our core homegrown players.(I would be remissed if I forgot to mention the Pouliot signing) We have been building a culture of winning here for the last 5 years. The aforementioned moves is why we are now competing for a Stanley Cup.
