New member here. #1_Yinka_Dare_Fan (I know him as somedude) linked me the site and encouraged me to make an intro thread. If you don't like me, blame him. My sports and teams: Baseball: Red Sox, Astros (hometown team, unfortunately), and anyone playing the Yankees on a given day (American) Football: Houston Texans and the Patriots when they're good enough to warrant my being a bandwagon fan Basketball: Celts and Rockets (same bandwagon deal with the Rockets, though, since their constant suckiness piss me off too much for me to be a constant fan) Golf: Tiger and Phil Tennis: Nadal, Djokovic, and anyone but Federer I also like most college sports and root for UVA and Rice (in baseball). I think soccer is a very interesting game to watch and enjoy it, but don't know enough about it to carry out a discussion more detailed than a score report.

Welcome!
I did, AEM. Completely amazing; the man is a monster. I'm just worried about his career from now on, what will all the injuries he has in that leg. I know we have all these surgical techniques today, but somehow they never seem to be the same. I've heard that he's actually thinking about picking up left-handed golf, which I'm assuming wouldn't put as much stress on the left leg. Thanks pegs, I'll lurk for a bit and see if I have anything to ask. Edit: Haha, yes he is, Denny. That's what he gets for being a Yankees fan.

What's with the Federer hate? I've only started to see it recently and I don't really understand it. Djokovic is the man, though. Also, welcome.

Great, another Red Sox fan. Thats what we need around here. (I'm a redsox fan as well) Welcome to S2 Baker.
Welcome to the site! I am from Houston as well, do you get the chance to go to the Astros/Texas/Rockets that often?
Finally got some time to get back on here, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the welcomes. @Hunter: Ah, nice. My family actually owns Astros and Texans season tickets, which I love to use. Haven't been able to get to many 'stros games this season, but there's nothing better than club level at Reliant. I like going to the Rockets as well, but only go when I can bum a seat off a friend. One good thing that can be said about Houston sports is that we have awesome stadiums, even if our teams aren't always great. @Chutney: I appreciate his skill and grace - and think he's probably the best player of all time - but something about his "RF" sweaters and jackets, his NetJet commercials where he spins his racket, and his tendency to always blame himself for losing a match instead of lauding his opponent cause me to root against him.
