Its an insane amount of money for someone that's not gonna get us over the hump. What would our line up look like? Calderon/Ukic/Banks DeRozan/Parker?/Douby? Hedo/Evans Bosh/Hump Bargnani/Jawai Thats pretty fucking terrible, our starters are okay but our bench is worthless.
we wouldnt even be able to afford parker because to give turk that kind of money u would have to renounce all raptor fa's. the contract being speculated about his comparable to joe johnson's contract. is hedo as good as joe johnson? i think not.
I don't believe this one bit. It just goes against everything we've known about the Raps' plans for this offseason. They've consistently talked of reaching out to Marion for a bargain deal, re-signing some of their own players, and using the MLE to round out the lineup. On midnight we were hearing that they had made overtures to Marion and were preparing for a relatively slower-paced offseason (compared to the last 3 years). And then this rumour comes out of nowhere, with the implication that Toronto would have to renounce everybody to make it happen. It just doesn't fit. I think they've made some contact with Hedo, and have him as a second insurance option in the event that Marion falls through.
