I wanted Torre to get fired last year. I have a feeling Girardi didn't take up a head coaching position anywhere this year for a reason. If the Yankees let go of Torre, I have a good feeling that they'll go with someone who's almost always been there for the Yankees when they needed him as a player or a coach. Girardi isn't that bad either, and he knows the Yankees organization really well.

But Torre really isn't a great in-game manager.

In the end it's more the Yankees being a great team and not really Torre being a great manager
The Boss gave him a "vote of confidence."Yeah I feel good about that. Everyone knows a vote of confidence from him only lasts as long as you win. And.....yeah.
