Torres, Mets complement R.A.'s complete game

Throughout the first two games of the Mets' series against the Marlins, manager Terry Collins was looking for the player who would help David Wright shoulder the offensive load and break the team's nine-game losing streak at home.

In the Mets' 6-1 win on Thursday, Andres Torres answered his manager's call and complemented another R.A. Dickey complete game.

With his season-high three-hit, three-RBI performance, Torres is now 5-for-5 for his career against Josh Johnson, and he helped knock the Miami starter out of the game with his sixth-inning home run. Johnson allowed just three runs over six innings.
