    What do you think?

''Everton have applied to take part in the 2007 Intertoto Cup in a bid to back-up their chance of qualifying for the Uefa Cup via their league position.

Under the new format, The Toffees will only have to overcome one round of the tournament in July before entering a pre-qualifying round for the Uefa Cup.

In addition to Everton, Blackburn, Bolton, Fulham, Middlesborough, Tottenham and Newcastle have all issued applications for the Intertoto Cup.''

ermmm its basically a pre-season competition for European clubs that have not qualified for one of the Champions League nor the UEFA Cup. The participating clubs are the ones that are ranked directly below the clubs that qualify for the major UEFA competition

    Gooner in peace here...

If Spurs win the UEFA cup do they get allowed into it automatically without having to qualify via league position? In that case you wouldn't have to worry about the Intertoto. I know your names not Liverpool and it might have to be in order to get rule changes, but, surely they must let you in next year if you win it? Otherwise it would be inconsistency, and we NEVER see that from a Football Association do we?

I reckon it'll be Werder Bremen or Newcastle.
