Anybody love watching the TDF as much as me? Toughest sporting event in the world. Lance is in contention in his return. Dude is 37!

I agree with you it's a hell of a competition, but I don't watch it for the same reason I don't watch marathons. Here's an example of a TDF commentator on TV:

"They're riding their bikes now. They're still riding. Now their riding up hill. Now they're riding downhill. They're still riding. OH! That rider got a drink of water. They're still riding............"

I agree with you on flat stages...but today they were in the mountains. That's where all the action is. People attacking and dropping other riders. I'm into cycling too, so that probably helps me get more enthused:)

I go to my office early to watch it live then I watch the edited broadcast when I come home. It's literally the only thing I watch on Versus.

Contador was a monster today. That burst was unreal.

Bah. Lance himself said marathons are tougher. After his first NY Marathon... “that was without a doubt the hardest physical thing I have ever done” Lance Armstrong.

Yeah, I'm a little worried that the team is going to push for him to win over Lance. We'll see.

Astana has three team leaders: Contador, Armstrong and Leipheimer. Hell, even Kloden is worthy of leading a team.

Contador has to be considered the leader of Astana unless he completely fades. Then Armstrong and Leipheimer will battle each other in the mountains. This is the way things go with cycling teams without a clear cut leader.

Yeah AC has youth on his side too. It would just be weird to see Lance finish anywhere other than first place.
