Some things to look at:-T-Mac, since Yao has gone down, has led his team to an 11-4 record. They have beaten quality opponenets like the Spurs, Jazz, Lakers, Nuggets, and Bulls. -The Rockets are 25-9 with T-Mac, 2-6 without him (one of those losses was without Yao, but they are 205 with Yao and no T-Mac). -Since Yao has gone down, T-Mac has averaged 29PPG, 6APG and 6RPG on 46% shooting. Those numbers are as good as anyone else in the league. In these past 15 games he has 2 40pt games (more than Melo, who has played over 25 games this season and is the leading scorer of the league). He has had multiple games over over 37-38pts, and something like 10 of his last 13 he has scored 30 or more.-T-Mac has dominated even the toughest defenses for his team to win. Scores 45 on Dallas, 44 on AK-47, 37 on Bruce Bowen, 31 on Artest, and 31 on the very tough Bulls defense.-The only losses since he has been depended on to lead the team were to Dallas, 2 overtime losses to Denver and Minnesota, and in Mac's first game after being sidelined for 7 games. While losses are losses, they are a lot more understandable and not by any means blowouts.Bottom line is I don't think he will win an MVP award due to his season stats not matching up to other candidates, and him having the best center in the league who did most of the carrying earlier this season. But T-Mac deserves a lot of credit and recognition for what he is doing with this team. After all that happenned last year with injuries, it appeared as though this season was going to come out the same way. But he has put the team on his back and done a very impressive job, and I feel he is really being ignored by most people.

Wow I did not know that about T-Mac. That is really good. He has showed me that he can lead his team and come back from injury good. Should be fun when the Suns play the Rockets.

yeah I'v bin tryin 2 watch evry rockets game since he came back. he's really leading the team, if he hadn't taken back seat 2 yao early in the season (but he's a good guy, so he did) he'd be right up there IMO.

I just got League Pass so I can finally watch Rockets games! I haven't been making many NBA-related posts this season because I lost LP but I'll post a lot more from now on.Yeah I agree T-MAc is way under the radar, and isn't getting the respect he deserves, mainly because he's been so injury-prone this past couple of years.

I agree, I don't think he gets the attention he deserves. It'd be nice if he'd get the MVP award, but I doubt it. I'd rather he make it far in the playoffs. He's been carrying this team on his shoulders. He'll go for 45 against Philly today....watch. [IMG]

His stock has dropped pretty far down since his injuries in Houston. In Orlando, he was top 3-5, in my opinion. But people forget about him when mentioning the top 6-8 players in the league.1. Kobe2. Lebron3. Dwyane4. Dirk5. Duncan6. Garnett7. McGrady8. Nash9. Arenas10. Brand

Just because he has had injuriesn the past 2 years doesn't mean he is any less of a player. After a slow start in 04-05 he was the best swingman in the game, averaging 28PPG the last half of the season, topping it off with averaging 30/7/6 against the Mavs, incluidng a GW, in the playoffs. This year he has been at his best in terms of playmaking and leading, and his scoring is just as good as it really has ever been. The only differences between him now and him in Orlando is he has lost a bit of athleticism, he has become a bit smarter, and most importantly he doesn't need to score a lot with Yao on the team and considers himself a "playmaker" when Yao is there. That hurts his game and overall stats, but he is showing right now that he is the same player that he was in Orlando.

I am not upset or angry that T-Mac is under the radar right now. Besides proving himself as a scorer, he hasn't done that much to deserve a load of praise. Personally I'm waiting on his team to win a playoff series, or for him to play at least 3/4 of the season, then I try and find some space for him on my NBA's top ten

He hasn't had near as many problems this year, and says he's feeling great. He doens't deserve a lot of praise? The most dominant center in the league (averaging 26/9) goes down and T-Mac keeps this team at 11-4 in his absence. If they get possible homecourt advantage, it will be because T-Mac kept this team afloat in Yao's absence.

Man this guy has really stepped it up in the abscence of Yao Ming. Last year when the Rockets didn't have T-Mac in their lineup I believe they either won 0 or 1 game the whole year. This shows how important T-Mac is to the Rockets and their whole organization. This guy is leading his team right now and it is looking like Houston will make the playoffs.

I was worried with McGrady in the first part of the season, he wasn't taking over, and he wasn't doing his thing in Houston. When Yao went out, he knew he had to step up his game, and he looks to be back to his old self, and he's winning games. Great job Tmac..

I am loving how he is coming on so strong with Yao out. He is really stepping it up when they need him too and he is definitely the MVP of this team IMO.

Well, he absolutley dominated when he played agaisnt the Spurs. He made Bruce Bowen look silly....It's unfortunate, but because of his injury, he has really been viewed as less of a player. And because people only look at team success sometimes, people look at the fact that Houston hasnt done as well as they should while Yao and T-Mac have been together and fail to realize that the reason the rockets have done that poorly is mainly due to injury. T-Mac is a hell of a player, and one of the best scorers in the game. I just hope he can regain peoples respect. And Melo, McGrady isnt better than Lebron, Dirk, or Wade. I would however put him above Arenas, Carmelo, and Iverson.
